Escape from the Pocket!!!! Ruuuuun! Tavaris gets another run at not being killed as the kindergarten O-line tries to figure it's way off the back of a milk carton.

Injury update:

Seahawks-
Out: Russell Okung (LT), Colin "kankles" Cole (DT), Deon Butler (WR), Roy Lewis (CB), and Cameron Morrah (TE), John Carlson Gone forever (shoulder)

Oakland-

Al Davis (owner) Zombie-itis.

Things to Watch:

1-Tavaris....again. See Jackson, see Jackson run, see TJ bruised, damn that don't look fun.
Charlie's just a play away... and one more play and it could even be Portis Time!

2-Rice... hard to catch the ball if the QB is that hurried, but would love to see a taste of what Luck or Barkley will be throwing to.

3-Carpenter... block somebody. You've become the new whipping boy, but you mean much

4-The secondary- I don't care if they give up a td on every play. Why? No more Jennings. Superbowl here we come!

5-Clinton McDonald- I like this guys story, motor, and potential. Last week he had a big game for the Bengals, we could use depth at DT so let's hope he looks good.

Predictions-

a preseason game will be played. Pete will be pumped and Tavaris will get jacked.

off topic of this game (other than possibly TJ getting injured and prompting it)-

My outrageous prediction for the season is that Carson Palmer reports, the Bengals get a kings ransom from us for him, they then draft luck after a Clausen-like Dalton 1st year. We experience Matt's twilight years all over again with Palmer and Luck turns into Peyton Manning. the end.

Well my pre-season battery has worn out. I'll watch a bit. Check a few things out. But it's time for the regular season to begin. At least we have some regular season college football this weekend.

Oh Jesus...what a terrible pass by Jackson. Way to murder the momentum.

And Curry makes a hit but forgets to tackle. When he is in the game you can count on one of those plays, and a play where he's trailing in coverage over the middle and gets burned.

Curry's lack of tackling ability is my biggest issue with him right now. He has one of those or more a game where his arms do nothing and he just bops the guy only to bounce off.

Carpenter and Breno both looked decent in the game. Tate obviously was playing to save his rep.
I'm not sold on Thurmond yet. I'd prefer Browner right now

On that play I was bitching about, it turned out he was pretty blatantly held so I should probably give him a pass on that one.

Curry's actually been playing more soundly as the preseason has gone on. I still have an issue with his tackling and pass coverage but he is looking better.

I think I agree on all counts. Thurmond's probably the better all around talent but he's also missed much of the preseason.

Damn sounds like Gallery is hurt and Rice might have a serious shoulder problem.
