It's going to be a tough year for us. I'm just going to try to look at this year more in terms of development than wins and losses. I'm not going to get too emotionally invested in winning games. Next year it will be a different story, and hopefully we will have put our best foot forward in solving our QB problem.

I've just been a little scared about us overachieving a bit in terms of wins and losses, and falling *just* out of range from one of the top QB prospects. I'd rather see a lot of good signs concerning our development by season's end while slightly underachieving in terms of wins and losses. I mean, we're not making the playoffs this year. That's pretty obvious. So I'd rather gain something of great value to us for not having done so.

I can pretty easily see us going 0-7 to start the year... but I am really not that upset by that. I will take a really bad year this year to get Luck and dominate for 10 years.

Think of how much more hopeful Carolina fans must feel about the future when their rookie QB playing in his first game goes 24/37 for 422 yards and 2 TD's.

this is my favorite comment by a blogger after the game from 17 power:

A great return by Leon Washington was nullified by a hold/block in the back, called on #21. You might recall that #21 is Kelly Jennings' old number, and that Kelly Jennings is no longer a Seahawk, nor has his jersey number been given to anyone else. That's right, one of the most critical penalties in the game was literally called on the ghost of Kelly Jennings.
