I'm not exactly married to losses @ Dallas and Chicago, but then again beating Philly and just assuming a sweep over the rest of the NFC West the remainder of the year could be considered a stretch in and of itself. So even if you shave off two wins from that homerish projection, 8-8 will still likely land us in the thick of playoff contention, no? Assuming San Fran comes back to earth a bit?

I swear, that's the nicest thing the guy has said about the Seahawks in about four years. I wonder if this cat is finally going to stop casually penciling in something along the lines of "they suck" and actually paying attention to this team for a change.

Mind you, this is the guy who claims to be some kind of NFL insider while writing columns that make it clear he either (1) doesn't have the kind of access to teams that he claims to have, or (2) is regularly being fed a direct line of crap and swallowing it whole. So I don't know why I even bother reading his stuff anymore.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the game Bevell's called. I was pretty upset when they fired Bates last year and talking to Minny fans wasnt too confident with his abilities. But Bevell was very good yesterday. Stuck to the no huddle. Minimized Charlie's reads and used motion really well.

Bevell has been really flexible in finding a solution. I credit some of it to whacky ass uncle Pete.
I'm impressed that he has the cajones to open up the offense this way with the no huddle and he's had some timely calls. Lord knows if he had kept it vanilla there'd be a guillotine at the end of the season. Definitely happy with the last two weeks of ball movement and situational calls.
