man as far as who you are rooting for?... idk... by the time Russ came back and a few games after he came back early... i was Geno > Russ for health/winning reasons, but what do you think between Drew and Geno?

I am torn because I'd love to see Geno resurrect his career after being a faithful backup and showing some DK love Russ didn't, but Drew represents hope for a big arm and young talent that still has the potential.

If I was going to pick a "this is a great movie story" it's Geno becoming a stud because that's like Kurt Warner level unexpected. If I'm going to pick a favorite right now to start, it's Drew.

And no, I'm not considering anyone else in this particular question.

What do I think?

Unless they pull off a deal for Baker or Garoppolo....This team will struggle to score points.

You're basically tanking with those two in line to start. They're playing for a high draft pick if we're being completely honest here.

Lock has more upside. He has a better arm. But he makes terrible bonehead decisions. Thus I think Geno starts.

Geno basically is what Tarvaris Jackson was. He won't win you games by himself. Also needs a strong running game to lean on.

If they win more than 7 games, that will be an accomplishment. Yes, my expectations are fairly low.

As a UW guy myself, Eason belongs in the USFL & not on an NFL roster. He stinks.

Also heard that the stadium has a poison pill provision that makes it financially damaging to the trust if they sell before a certain year. I believe. I heard that was 2025 at the earliest.

The team likely won't be put on the market until after the Blazers are sold. So we're talking at least 2 years out. The chances of a sale in the next calendar year is probably very low. Especially if there is language that prevents one before a certain date.

Paul was as good as it gets. When it comes to ownership. I'd put him near or on the same level as a Jerry Buss. He was a winner. Did what it took to be successful. Obviously hiring Holmgren & Pete we're great hires. Completely changed the culture. He wasn't afraid to spend money. That's textbook great ownership.

I'd love it if someone with deep pockets & who was committed like him eventually took over. I'd be happy if someone like Ballmer stepped forward & bought the team. An owner like that who is willing to hire the best Football people & yet not get in the way.
