Some weirdness coming out of Seahawks.com. A press release was posted saying the team had waived Lendale White. When you attempt to click the link the article has been deleted. Googling Lendale White comes up with a link to the story and a snippet

Would be disappointing if something caused the Seahawks to make this move when we are still so far away from training camp.

Too bad... I was really interested to see what he could do under Pete.

crazy... wtf?

Clayton is usually all knowing with the 'Hawks:

The LenDale White experiment in Seattle is over.

White was released on Friday.

"It became apparent at this time that LenDale was not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks," Seahawks GM John Schneider said. "It just did not appear to be the right fit at this point in our program. We wish LenDale all the best with his future."

Acquired from the Tennessee Titans in a trade, White reported to the Seahawks in great shape. He was down to 220 pounds after being 250 pounds at times as a member of the Titans.

White came to the Seahawks during the third day of the NFL draft. The team also acquired defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson.

The trade reunited White with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, whom White played for at USC.

John Clayton is a senior writer for ESPN.com.

weird... I can only think there is legal/ped testing trouble ahead for Lendale if this is true

verified by Seattle PI, too now.

My optimistic side would say- Forsett was just too much of a stud to contemplate holding on to Lendale and Washington looks good to go, but I would have bet money that Jones would have been gone first.

oh and while we're on RB's coming out of nowhere- Rankin is still my favorite Seattle Dark horse. I don't care if it was pre-season he went full on ape crap against us when he was with the raiders, he's home run fast, he's had a good camp, and he's tough and nasty.

I am glad no Hawk fan has decided to really blast the Hawks management. There HAS to be a reason and a good one for this release. If he cannot get a break from his old coach then put 1 and 1 together and it adds to something we will read about later or maybe never.

Also like someone else mentioned maybe they are getting ready to make another trade but i would think releasing White IF so means another RB. Even if it's as simple as attitude issues the Hawks gave up really nothing to acquire him so who cares.

UPDATE : Other Shoe just dropped .....

White facing 4 game suspension just saw on ESPN news ---

Clayton said on his ESPN radio show today that White hasn't been listening to coaches, showing up late/not at all, and has rubbed a bunch of people the wrong way. Seems this ban was just the capper. Fully expects LenDale to be with another team soon and praised his willingness to get in shape (I guess he's down to 220 lb?) but something about the whole situation in Seattle just wasn't working.

He looked really light in some video I saw of him. In fact, I had no idea it was Lendale until I saw the number on the jersey. It's sad that he was cut, but I think Pete passes this test. Pete is highly likely to get called to the carpet when it comes to his old guys. If he lets one of "his" guys get a pass this early, he's likely never going to shake it. But making such a strong pronouncement now sort of shows everyone that Pete means business.

i could see LenDale not listening to coaches and stuff, he deff looks like a type of character that does that sort of stuff.
