Game 3: Bolts at the Beloved Birds

VS.
Game 3 of the enigma filled start to the 2010 season features an opponent that can hit home runs. The 12th man will have to be as effective as they were game one to help the pass rush that dried up in week two vs Denver. San Diego will come in with a downfield passing game looking for big chunks of yardage. Meanwhile the bolts will hope Clip Board Jesus can't resurrect a winning game plan for the birds.
Injury update:Seahawks-Leroy Hill (LB) out with a serious achilles injury. Okung (LT) will again sit with a high ankle sprain. Unger (RG) out for season with mush for a toe.
ChargersRyan Mathews (RB)ankle is a game time decision.
Things to Watch:1-Matt A-does he throw more picks than Slash in a Guitar Center accessory fight. B-Is he trying out for our new HB spot? Surely he won't get bold on the run again... will he?
2-SD's Deep ball vs Trufant, Earl, and Midget Jennings. Pray for Walter Thurmond. (hey he's not a punt returner fine.)
3-The rise and fall of Mike Williams. Thigh injury, scheme, Champ or chump Mike... which is it?
4-Can we get back to rushing the QB?
5-Golden Tate played his way onto the field and then made it count. Can he keep the magic up with more touches?
6-Does something give with our run demolishing D or is it time to call our line Ground Hogs?
7-Curry, Curry, Curry... run stopping 4th pick isn't enough for Seattle fans, you need to pull a Derrick Thomas type pass rush day to avoid the haterade shower.
8-Gell-O? We start the same line two weeks in a row.. and we were able to run in Denver? Could we get better again this week? Stacey Andrews says, "I drink your milkshake DT"
Predictions-28-14 San Diego. Looks like a scary game.

Chargers 20 Seahawks 17
My guess is a close game here, but that the Chargers prevail because, well, they're the better team. Our home town advantage will aid in keeping it close, and who knows? We might get lucky and leave town to St. Louis with a win and a 2-1 record. That would be much better than arriving there with a 1-2 record.

Man I have no idea what to make of this game. The Chargers lost to Kansas City who are 2-0 and they hammered the Jags who are 1-1.
I thought last week the Hawks moved the ball fairly well but they simply took themselves out of the game by throwing the two picks in the red zone and of course the fumble during the punt return simply handcuffed any thing early the Hawks were trying to get done.
I think the Matt bounces back and the Hawks win ths game.

I think we surprise the Chargers, even though I think the Chargers are the better team.
Anyone see what is happening to the Niners right now? After nearly beating the Saints and losing in a demoralizing fashion, they are taking a beating at the hands of Chiefs' team that I just don't think is as good as their record. Here's hoping the Cards get surprised by the Raiders.

Good Lord! The 49ers are 0-3. No fear of the Rams, at least not for a few more years. The Cards are highly suspect without Warner and the loss of some key talent. Good Lord! Our division sucks. It sucks so bad that I can't believe I'm thinking of us as contenders.
But we've got to win today.

Williams has been a nice pick up off the scrap heap this off season.

Our defense is off to an awesome start...a recovered fumble [created by Tatupu] and Clemons/Curry are being very active in the backfield. On the last two drives Curry has looked like everything I hoped he could be.
The offense looks like ****. Hass is floating passes again...
YES! Nice catch Mike Williams. Run Forsett run!

I love having his size out there...this is a team that doesn't miss Housh.

PS> The 49ers play AT Atlanta next week. The odds are they go to 0-4.

Nice recovery by Jennings but that ball was underthrown a little.

Jennings came close to getting burned there. A better thrown ball and San Diego has 6

DONE.
He is fun to watch. Explosive but not noticeably so, you know? He doesn't seem all that fast or elusive but then...somehow he's 40 yards downfield.

What a **** call. Let Hass float a pass so he can be triple-covered.

Going deep against Jammer like that WAS stupid. You want to work Carlson because of their LB's being hurt, and Tate on short stuff where he can break one.
I don't know about Hass. I know that a lot of our receivers are shrimps and all, but he's lucky another one didn't get picked off for a TD.
