Game 13- The Seahawks wobble into San Fran looking to finish the 49'ers and stay in the division lead. They say a wounded animal is dangerous, but hopefully a SF team missing Gore and several other players will roll over and play dead for a wildly unpredictable 'Hawks team.

Injury update:

Seahawks-

Williams(WR) iffy with an weird foot sprain. Pitts is out with ankle sprain(G) Obomanu iffy with lacerated hand(WR)

49ers
K Joe Nedney (knee)
T Joe Staley (fibula)

Things to Watch:

1-By land or by air? Without Williams little has been done in the passing game, but Matt has been airing it out for weeks before last games Ground Chuck-like showing. Last week was the 1st 3td running back performance we've seen in 5 years since old soft shoe 37 was dancing for us. So- by land or by air for the 'Hawks?

2-Colin Cole is back to plug the middle SF is missing Gore, so can the D regain some run stopping confidence?

3-Tate that a shame... he's gotten some looks, but it would be nice if Matt would make sure he's not only seeing passes that have to be resurrected from 1yard out of bounds. Throw the man a pass in bounds man, BMW might be Stretch Armstrong, but Tate is a rookie trying to make a play.

4-Alex Smith- pick-6 anyone?

Predictions-

21-10 Seattle

7-7, 4:14 left in the 1st Q.

Great route by this Ruvell Martin kid for the Hawks score. Faked two guys out of position and Hass found him wide open in the endzone.

(Williams and Obu are both out)

Hmmm....that was one of the easier drives for a TD this year by the Hawks. 7-7. I think we can win this game if the D will step up the rest of the game.

We're just making it so damn easy for the 49ers. "Here's the game. We don't want it." lol

27-7 49ers, almost halftime.

Well, this got out of hand quickly.

Today is the day Hass decided to help the team get in position to draft his replacement.

He picked today to have an AWFUL game (excepting that one TD drive). PC must be going out of his mind, how much he reviles TO's. This is a whole lot more about the Hawks stinking up the joint than the 49ers dominating us.

Did we also go a log pass again on 4th down? Why do we keep trying that?

Posting on a phone is hard....

I meant to ask if we tried a long pass on 4th down.

Merry Xmas 49ers. I don't know where to begin articulating how many gift wrapped opportunities we gave them that first half? What were we doing this week in practice? Certainly not preparing for this game in any way.

PS> Yes, we did try some ridiculous long pass on 4th down. I had to quickly re-check to make sure it wasn't 3rd down, as it made little sense to me.

OMG! It just won't stop. Another gift wrapped opportunity: INT for a TD.

This is embarrassing. This might be the most pathetic performance I can remember the Hawks putting together given the playoff implications of the game. If this was a home game, they would much deserve to be resoundingly booed.

ANOTHER gift wrapped present. Another INT in the endzone. That pass was so telegraphed I saw it coming last week.

Take out Hass. You have to now.

Boy, if people don't think that we need to draft a QB as our top priority now, they are oblivious. And it's not just because of how hideous Hass has played today. It's because of:

a) How important the QB position is
b) Hass is getting old
c) How we have nothing lined up to replace him now or in the future

This game just drives this fact home.

Whatever you think of the Hawks this year, Leon Washington has been indisputably outstanding.

Another 4th down passing failure...surprise!

Hass has a solid QB rating today of 44 now. That's hard to do.

I almost fainted! Deon Butler actually made a nice catch. Of course, it means absolutely nothing now.

Butler scores a TD...and breaks his leg in the process. That thing flopping around in the air was disgusting.
