Game 9: Seahawks vs Ravens

VS.

The Seahawks are like daylight savings time this year- it's getting darker earlier this season.
Well at least for the playoffs, but fear not fellow hawk handlers, we can see the potential these muppet babies have... The penalty plagued Pete Carroll squad has shot itself in the foot perfectly for a shot at Barkley and more good news!: The Ravens are coming to town to help us out!
The Seahawks will actually want to win this game, it's at home, and if inconsistency is the name of Tarvaris Jackson's game is inconsistency he's due for another 300 yard game. If the boys in blue can run the ball again it might even be a surprise win (good for the Foles/Griffen III faction, bad for the Barkley-files)
The Ravens again are a very strong team playing "I'll kill you, Turkey!" defense. No doubt they think the Seahawks are a pre-Thanksgiving appetizer, but we shall see.
DD's Midseason Awards:
Best Offensive Player:
Doug Baldwin. I would love to say this is Okung, but Doug has been more consistent and played tough through big hits.
Best Defensive Player:
Chris Clemons. He's playing better against the run than people give him credit for. I'm looking for him to reach the Pro Bowl this year. Tapp who?
honorable mention: Kam Chancellor. He's looked like a big Ronnie Lott this year. Watch those feet keep moving as he delivers hits. I always notice he looks like he's dancing during impact when most big hitters plant hard. Kam is a special tackler and a smart guy with good hands.
Best FA pickup:
Zach Miller. For immediate results I would say Branch who has played great, but despite the low number of looks, Miller has done the grinding blocking very well and is going to end up being a guy we love for years. Combine that with the untimely Carlson injury and how many drops McCoy has we got our selves a position we didn't even know we needed so badly filled by a skilled tough guy who doesn't complain.
Best Rookie:
Doug Baldwin. Never would have guessed this guy would make the roster let alone be my choice for best offensive player. KJ Wright gets honorable mention as does Sherman. 3 rookies playing this well at three big positions this early is a good sign for Seattle.
Best Special Teams Player:
Jon Ryan. Props to Ryan for making a td saving tackle in addition to his great punting.
Best trade:
Thought I was going to say Curry? Nope, he would have been fine as a depth player. I like that trade but getting rid of Jennings had the biggest positive effect in my opinion.
Best Game:
I hope it's yet to come! The Giants game was fun, but I'd like the team to finish with it's chin up and a late season big convincing win vs a quality opponent would go a long way.
Injury update:

Seahawks-
QB Tarvaris Jackson is sore but should go. WR Durham is done with labrum surgery. WR Rice has some kind of sore foot but should play. TE Morrah did not practice with a knee and toe injury.. how do you get a knee-toe injury? I think he's doing it wrong... whatever he's doing.
Ravens
WR Lee Evans (ankle) returned on a limited basis and said he was optimistic about playing Sunday
Things to Watch:
1-Run Defense
Getting tired, got blasted by a special back last week, or fluke?
Rice should get plenty of carries, so we shall see.
2-Look left!
Tarvaris seems to have a lazy eye worse than D-Bo in Friday. Almost all of his completions this year are going right. No wonder Big Mike Williams is looking a little irritated.
3-Run Offense
Can Lynch break 100 yards again, and can he score in 5 straight games?
4-Sherman
The rook has been a turnover machine like we haven't seen since big play Babs. Could he possible force a 4th turnover in 3 games?
5- Butler back
Could a little speed show up in the pass game this week after the horrific leg injury comeback story part deux?
6-Pete's playcalls
again... will Pete get his Beastie Boys on and drop some sabotage? Conspiracy Darko believes he would rather look like a bumbling idiot that let us fall out of Barkley striking distance.
Predictions-
Seattle 13 Ravens 10
