Injury update:

Seahawks-

WR Golden Tate (knee), DE Greg Scruggs (hamstring), OG James Carpenter (knee) limited

Cards

Kevin Kolbs confidence is severely sprained.

Things to Watch:

1. Wilson
He drinks your milkshake! Baldwin will be back which should be a good thing for his pressure relief and big 3rd down playmaking. I expect Russ to hang in the pocket somewhat more than he has in other games just to prove hes not a flighty runner, but I really hope he just takes whatever is available to him.

2. Turbinator/Lynch
Really important to get a good run game going. Lynch is listed as good to go, but if not or if he takes less snaps I'm really hoping Turbin shows up in pass protection and makes some nice quick cuts up field to keep us balanced.

3. Rice
no need to risk him unduly in the preseason, but now it's time to shine or get written off as talent forever marred by injury.

4. Bruuuuuuuce
I expect at least one sack and I demand that that Electric Light Orchestras "Don't Let Me Down... Brrruce" is played after that sack.

5. Browner
It's always interesting to watch the manhandling domination vs penalty ratio with Browner. We've learned a few yards is worth his style for the most part, but we don't want to give Skelton short fields to work and officiating could certainly be an issue in Arizona.

Predictions-
9-24 Seattle

The thread is here! Oh, how I have been awaiting its arrival...

I'm saying 20-17 Seahawks. Given the information [or lack thereof] regarding Lynch, I think there's a decent chance he doesn't play. If anything Pete seems overly optimistic Starting a rookie QB and a rookie RB [protected by a rookie G] on the road against a divisional opponent that has a very tough defense is definitely concerning. I have faith in Wilson, and I have faith in Turbin, but this isn't a soft landing spot.

The defense has to be the one to bring a win home. Arizona's offensive line is largely a mess and if there is a match-up our improved pass rush should be able to exploit it is this one. Irvin's fast. Skelton is big and not fast. I hope they spend a lot of time running into each other.

I should have added Jason Jones into the things to watch. We need him to keep the pass rush coming.

It's going to be an interesting game because I think both teams D can keep them in the game. I guess we will find out if Wilson can be the man or if Skelton can keep the chains moving for the Cards. I'm going with Wilson having a better day between the two and the Hawks pulling off a nice road victory.

Go Hawks. Lets hope for a whoopin'! Wouldn't that be a nice change of pace? I'd love to see the game pretty much over by half.

More excited to watch our defense than anything else on Sunday. Not completely sold on Wilson (although I am on Turbin) yet, but I've boughten into the hype of our defense. I don't think Arizona stands a chance against it unless refs get whistle happy.

20-6 Seahawks

What a mixed bag for other young QBs so far. RGIII appears to be unstoppable, both on the air and on the ground. Locker's had some big plays but has struggling with his accuracy and was a beat slow on a sack/fumble. Tannehill is struggling with tipped passes and has 3 INT. We're only an hour away from Wilson's turn to shine.

Not a great first drive for the Seahawks at all. Wilson looked tentative, the running game was non-existent, capped off with a missed FG that got tipped. Time for the defense to impose its will agains the Cards line.

a lot like two boxers feeling each other out right now. I'm hoping to grind the run game at them for a while and let Russ acclimate

Unfortunately, Russ won't acclimate if there's a red jersey in his face every time. Holy hell, the pass protection has been terrible. Wilson's ending up on his backside after every play. As good as Sweezy looked in the preseason, he's looked like a rookie today. The team's gotta get this figured out quick before something disastrous happens.

Also, while our run defense looks strong, once again we're failing to get to the QB. Given the lack of experience for either of Arizona's tackles, that's kind of inexcusable.

Jesus...on 3rd down, Red Bryant comes out, and the Cardinals then run right up the gut for a TD. What, were we putting our nickel 3rd down package in there on the goal line?

Touchdown SEAHAWKS!!! Oh what a nice play by Wilson...quick hike while the defense was getting ready, then going through his reads. I needed to see that to clam my nerves a bit.
