Injury update:

Seahawks-

Zach Miller (foot), Doug Baldwin (shoulder) are dubious, iffy, probably play, but hurt.

Cheesitz

They have a few, but I'm just going to lump them into general Asiago and Humboldt fog mushiness.

Things to Watch:

1. On Wisconsin QB's
Rodgers vs Wilson while Flynn waits in the wings. That's a lot of Wisconsin affiliation. I think we know Wilson is at his worst a safe conservative and slippery QB. What we haven't seen is Wilson show somebody up (beyond Flynn). Seattle relies on a run first bruiser mentality, so idk if it will happen, but if a few of those early big play strikes hit I wonder if Wilson won't feed off the media inquiries on his conservativeness and try for a massive day.

2. Matthews vs Okung
What old glass ankles and purple knee got in him? We hope it's what he brought to the Peppers match up.

3. Tate
Block aside, we need Tate to make forward progress and he seems very capable.

4. pass rush
Probably a tiny bit better than records indicate but jones and irvin are going into game 3 with .5 sacks each. The D is a monster, but notch some extra gets in the rush and Seattle becomes epic.

5. Monday Night Records
I hate statistics when they say things like the Seahawks are the best MNF team ever... statistics tend to find equilibrium and that would be bad.

Predictions-
last week i predicted a Dallas win, so this week I will go Cheese Heads 45- Seattle 27.

I think we're going to either win in a close game or lose in a blowout. Can't decide which one to choose.

Seahawks 20, Packers 17

or

Packers 27, Seahawks 10

I wholeheartedly agree. As good as the Packers passing game is, I am not sold on their either their defense or their running game. The Seahawks absolutely have to get pressure on Rodgers, and the secondary has to use their size to press effectively and consistently to prevent the Packers WR from burning them deep. I expect a physical game because our secondary certainly loves it when they get into the heads of opposing WR/TE.

If not for the false start first possession offense looked good. First time on the field for defense was also good

Seahawks move the ball well on 2nd possession but again hurt by a false start

I think Okung's playing hurt. He has tended to try to get out of the blocks early in the past when he was playing with his ankle issues, and he's been pretty jumpy in both the Arizona and Green Bay games.

IIRC the 2nd false start was on a wr

I heard them say it was on McCoy?

God...Bruce Irvin has his second sack already this evening. HEY, this must be why we drafted this guy! ;)

I checked the play by play on CBSsports. com and it was McCoy

Russell's not doing well on 3rd and long. He keeps scrambling under pressure and throwing the ball away. The defense is playing ferociously but a 3 and out isn't doing the defense any favors.

I'm still not completely sold on Wilson(or Flynn). The Seahawks should be keeping a close eye on the top collegiate qb's

Or the top collegiate WR's. At some point one of our WR needs to make a tough catch. Wilson could be better but when he puts the ball in a place where a WR can make a play they have to come through.

Important to have a defensive stop here. Take some pressure off of Wilson and the other young players on offense

great throw. that was the wilson i saw last year at wisconsin, just devastating on play action.

with how great we've drafted under the current regime, i was stunned the pundits were so quick to bash the irvin pick. was it unexpected? sure. but just because it blows up your mock, doesn't mean the front office that made the pick missed the mark.
