This week's game brought to you by more sacks

Injury update:

Image

Seahawks-

*friday update Moffit looks gimpy on his knee. Carp may be needed with McQuistan moving to RG. Baldwin and Carpenter are both back and Carp will see time at guard in the game.

Rams/b]

Offensive line is decimated, Jackson (rb) has a pulled groin (insert joke here), but should play.

[b]Things to Watch:

1. Offensive Production
Clearly our ground and pound is not geared up to yield big scoring numbers, but we cannot continue to wait until the second half to put anything but defensive scores on the board.

2. OLine adjustments
Breno sounds gimpy and Carp is back. More line shifting and hoping that Okung plays better.

3. Tate
Seems like this year is forging him in the fire of controversy. Also seems like he's the only guy getting separation lately, but let's see how he comes out of the MNF incident. I hope it's with swagger.

4. pass rush
The rams have a totally beaten up O-line. That's never stopped us from not getting sacks before, but have we dialed in an Irvin/Clem combination that is now ready to dominate again?

5. Real Refs
Hopefully less calls will help us out... unless they hold as bad as the Packers did in the second half.

Predictions-
last week i predicted a Green Bay win, so I am going with Seattle 17, Rams 24

I think we assert ourselves early on as a playoff team here. We win big on the road.

Hawks 30 Rams 13.

The offense was allowed to open it up on the first drive. Result was 80 yards and a td

Oh, and go Hawks! What an awesome first drive! THAT'S the way to use RW.

I will aid in this endeavour. BTW the defense was great first few plays but is now giving up yards

The team is sure lining Marshawn Lynch wide a lot this year. I am not sure what to make of that. It's an interesting look but Lynch really isn't a pass catching threat.

Good God...James Carpenter is down with a knee injury already. I don't know if he and Okung are the left side of the future or the IR of the future.

Boy, am I not a fan of stretch running plays on 3rd and short. The running game is based on power, not speed.

The Rams are going right at Richard Sherman, and he is getting beat. Looks like he whiffed on the press coverage there.

...and then he gets a pick. HA!

giacomini comes in well after the play and smacks into a ram defender, a personal foul that eliminates a nice wilson-to-miller first down.

we aren't good enough to play stupid.

Missed the 1st quarter. Saw the pick. These after the whistle dumb personal foul penalty's are driving me crazy. Need to be more disciplined. And giving up that 3rd and 14 SUCKED!

we're doing a great job of forcing 3rd and long.......

... not so much at holding them on 3rd.

Oh defense on 3rd down is fine...if its 3rd and short. But for some reason 3rd and long remains a huge problem. Add in the needless penalties and a complete lack of awareness on fake FG of all things, and this looks like a very winnable game that we are going to piss away.

There's another FG for the Rams, and they'll get the ball to start the second half. Goddammit.

Two great drives by the Seahawks in the second half, but they both stall in the red zone and only lead to two FGs. Turbin has been an awesome change of pace for Lynch. Turbin's physical, but he also has a burst that Lynch lacks.

With less than a quarter to go, we have a chance to win but the defense has to keep the Rams off the board.

another week, another solid overall defense marred by allowing the opposition a devastating 4th quarter drive. i love our defense -- 3rd and long troubles and all -- the first three quarters, but these late collapses are getting old.

got to hold them to 3 here. no way this team can come back from a two-possession deficit with 6 minutes to play. heck, even 6 points down is stretching it with the way we're finishing drives.

sorry for the negativity.
