Win out at home at the Seahawks can put themselves in great position for a Wild Card spot or better. The Seahawk offense has been looking more and more balanced as Russell Wilson has been given more passing freedom and has rewarded Pete with a burst of redzone production. Since week 4 Russ is 4th in redzone QBR behind only Brady, Rogers, and Brees. Those three along with DangeRuss are all in the 90's for QBR The rest of the NFL QB's past #5 Peyton Manning averages a redone QBR of 37.

The Jets have had a rough season and The Seahawks are probably glad they didn't miss out on Russ by selecting the struggling Sanchez over Curry, but on any given Sunday any team can beat any team, so the Seahawks need to take care of business at home.

Seattle Seahawks: Guard James Carpenter (concussion), receiver Braylon Edwards (knee), running back Marshawn Lynch (back/wrist), defensive end Red Bryant (foot), linebacker K.J. Wright (concussion), defensive lineman Clinton McDonald (groin) and safety Kam Chancellor (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday. Defensive tackle Jason Jones (ankle) was limited. Receiver Doug Baldwin (ankle), guard John Moffitt (knee) and center Max Unger (finger) were full participants. Seattle is a little more beat-up than it has been to this point in the season. Having a bye in Week 11 should help the team recharge for a stretch run. Jones hasn't played since Week 7. Seattle's nickel pass rush has missed him. The fact that he is practicing, even on a limited basis, should be encouraging for the Seahawks. Having Baldwin back allowed Seattle to release receiver Charly Martin and re-sign him to its practice squad. The Seahawks have activated cornerback Walter Thurmond from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. He helps with depth and gives the team another option in the nickel role, possibly affecting Marcus Trufant.

Jets

Joe McKnight and Kendrick Ellis will miss the game for the Jets.

Things to Watch:

1. Running attack
lynch is banged up with two different injuries. Hopefully there is no real repercussions but this could be a situation where Turbin is needed to help spell Lynch and get the tough yards.

2. Return of Baldwin
This year has not been the statement he made last year, but if he gets going it will be a major chain moving boost.

3. Mebane
He's been fun to watch this year. He's getting more penetration than in seasons past and I just enjoy watching him play this year.

4. Run D
It's been getting gouged a few weeks in a row. Hopefully this week they get back to looking like the early season run stoppers.



Predictions-
Seattle 21 Jets 10

This is probably the easiest game on our schedule but I'm trying to keep my expectations low.

That said, 24-6 Seahawks.

good start for seattle with the 3 play opening drive for a td, im hoping the continue to be agressive with the deep pass putting pressure on a secondary thats not at full strength. the running game will be there all day you can fall back on that whenever you need to, wilson is on a hot streak right now lets see if he can keep it up

does anyone still believe that bruce irvin was a wasted pick? i think the stud has more sacks than clemons so far this season

This thing got ugly quick. The team looked absolutely unstoppable on the first drive, and now we've turned the ball over twice in spectacularly ugly fashion.

Wow Golden Tate first breaks a few tackles on 3rd down earlier in the drive to get a first down and then throws a touchdown pass to Sidney Rice.

Wow...what a difference halftime can make. The Seahawks changed things up quite a bit by mixing in read-option [which worked very well] and now Tate just threw a TD pass to Sidney Rice. As much as I've griped about Darrell Bevell, boy are things starting to work now. The coaching staff seems to be figuring out how to use its personnel.

Not just Wilson, who does well with play-action and read-option plays, but also guys like Tate. That little WR screen they run with him a couple times per game always gives him a chance to show off his athleticism. Hell...he gained yards on a play where he hurdled a guy, got popped IMMEDIATELY upon landing, and shook the guy off to scamper down the sideline. Tate's been super frustrating for most of his 2.5 seasons here, but he looks like he is ready to break out.

We've outscored opponents 24-3 in the second half the last 2 games.
