Anyone catch this?

I love Richard Sherman and honestly I can't stand Skip Bayless. And I think Skip talks a lot of garbage so really he's a lot like Sherman. I also think Bayless has had this coming to him for a while now.
But Sherman in my eyes looked pretty foolish. It was actually an uncomfortable watch. I can't really say Richard Sherman won this debate.

Re: Richard Sherman First Take Skip Bayless
Sherman didn't win the debate because...it wasn't a debate. Much like everything else on First Take isn't really a debate. Sherman went on the air to give his opinion of Skip Bayless--an opinion shared by many--and he accomplished his goal.
And Sherman was predictably trounced in the media for doing that. Just as Boeheim was trounced in the media for going after Andy Katz. Just as every other sports/media personality is when they let their opinion be known about someone whose job it is to unloose an often-times constant stream of criticism about their performance.
I like Sherman. I have no problem with what he did. So long as he doesn't create dissent in the locker room or impacts his play on the field, I'm good with him.

Re: Richard Sherman First Take Skip Bayless
I literally just saw/read about this today. Sherman looked like a buffoon.
It's an embarassment. Especially if Sherman is a Stanford Grad. Do they not teach public speaking?
I dislike Skip Byless as much as the next guy, but this was...distasteful. Disappointing. Disastrous.
Sherman is now taking pot shots at Roddy White after going after Darrelle Revis previously. He's costing himself endorsements and future job opportunities after football.
The curse of youth. Thinking you know everything at 24....Burning bridges on the daily. DBs and RBs have a short life expectancy. (Just ask Namdi Asomugha). Sherman should choose his battles more judiciously.

I agree. I'm a big Sherman fan but I lost a lot of respect for the man after that First Take incident. It's one thing to talk trash to players, but to go on national television and represent yourself as an absolute moron is pathetic. Great player, but sometimes I wish he'd let his play do the talking. The Hawks already have a target on their back they don't need to give teams any extra motivation to beat us.
