percy harvin's hip, anyone?
listening to what the players are saying on twitter, in the news, etc. etc., has been really encouraging. these guys seem to love one another, and playing football for the seahawks. everyone seems to have their eyes on the same prize.
i've never been less worried for a QB to go through a sophomore slump than RW. his training regimen, his attention to detail, his 5 AM film sessions, the weapons we've added for him...
so, training camp

Disappointing. But the leak of the news last week, combined with the idea that he could be back in late November, has deadened the blow by this point. I don't think the loss of Harvin impacts the team much in its fight to get to the playoffs...but boy, do we need him once we get to that point.

I think the attitude of the coaching staff and front office does a lot to facilitate that environment. For those wondering how USC coach Carroll would do with another shot at the pros, he's doing just fine.
Take Sidney Rice for example. Guy wants to go to Switzerland to have a procedure done that's not, well, legal here in the U.S. Team's fine with it, and just waits to find a time that's best for both parties to get it done.
Same with Harvin. He decides to have surgery and the word yesterday was it was collaborative with the team.
Compare that approach to PC's predecessor. Remember Mora's one training camp? He pushed the players to their limit in an effort to build toughness, and wore the team out by the time the actual season rolled around. He called players out and I don't think any players were sad when he left.
PC/JS seem to trust their players a lot more than some, and I think that helps the players trust them. The players, coaches, and front office are all working towards the same goal. Sure it's a business, but the Seahawks really try to take care of their own. They rewarded Kam and Red with big deals, and gave Browner a raise despite under no obligation to do so.

I've seen some people note that the offense hasn't looked as crisp as they would like in camp, but today it sounds like he was making plays and hitting guys. RW has to practice against the stingiest defense in the NFL. He should struggle a little bit, but he'll be more than ready when the season starts.
