We arrived to our offseason earlier that we all wanted, but on RealGM this is the time of considering our Free Agents, and our Draft.

I think we can assume Offensive Line is a priority

Pete and the Schneid are knows to use the Draft heavily, which may be a good idea considering our Cap issues.

Top FA by position Per K5 News

Left tackle

Russell Okung, Seahawks
Donald Penn, Raiders
Jake Long, Falcons
Michael Harris, Vikings
Cordy Glenn, Broncos

Left Guard

Evan Mathis, Broncos
Alex Boone, 49ers
Ramon Foster, Steelers
Ted Larsen, Cardinals
Amini Silatolu, Panthers

Center

Stefen Wisniewski, Jaguars
Ryan Wendell, Patriots
Manny Ramirez, Lions
Lyle Sendlein, Cardinals
Will Montgomery, Bears

Right Guard

Chris Chester, Falcons
Mackenzy Bernadeau, Cowboys
Richie Incognito, Bills
Lance Louis, Colts
Willie Colon, Jets

Right Tackle

Andre Smith, Bengals
Chris Clark, Texans
Don Barclay, Packers
Khalif Barnes, Raiders
Byron Bell, Titans

My top priorities
1. Lineman
2. Lineman
3. Lineman...

The Draft & Free Agency should be devoted to O-line/D-line. I want to get nasty upfront. I think Pete & John recognize this as well. Teams like Carolina & the Rams with great defensive fronts, had their way with us. We use to be the bully. Have to get back to that. :banghead:

No chance Marshawn is back. It's time. Hoping he decides to hang them up. Don't want to see him on another team. Wouldn't be the same. I would Draft a Running back in the middle rounds to compete with Rawls. Insurance also incase he doesn't come back fully healthy.

I can't really see a scenario in which Graham or Bam Bam is cut for salary purposes. Both from my pov are too valuable to give up at this point. Kam didn't have his best year, but coming off the holdout, what can you really expect? And unless he decides to holdout again or demand a trade, he is still one of the best strong safeties in football & this teams true enforcer on defense.

So, for me it's pretty clear, load up on lineman in the draft on both sides of the ball & a veteran or two in free agency.

With Marshawn calling it quits. Which avenue do they address depth at RB? Draft? FA? Resign Michael?

Free Agency is officially under way. Good to have Rubin back in the fold.

Sad to see Irvin go to tha Raiders. I'm sure Kevin Pierre-louis/*rookie will fill his spot just fine. Plug & play is the name of the game.

On to the next... :D

I hope KPL is ready, he's had flashes. Also I guess Frank Clark is down to 259 to play leo. The first Tackle is off the boards to Oakland, as well, in Osemele, which might be good if you like Okung, but bad in that he made the max money.

Mebane/Sweezy are officially gone. Not sad to see Sweezy leave. Dude was just too inconsistent. I'm kind of split on bringing back Okung. Good LT, but the injuries really make me second guess. We'll see...

Good to have Jeremy Lane back in the fold.

DT Sealver Siliga from NE could really be an underrated signing. Like the thing's I've read. Big NT type. Potential Mebane replacement. Solid pickup. PFF is very high on him. Here is a write-up from last offseason.

He had a productive 2015 with 28 tackles for the Patriots in 13 games played. Siliga actually graded out higher than recently re-signed defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin, according to Pro Football Focus.

Later to Okung who was a crappy agent for himself with little guaranteed money.

Our line is looking bad right now... I'd gladly move Graham for a left tackle or even and amazing right tackle right now.

Yeah oline heavy draft. No to 32 year old Joe Thomas. Denver LT should become available. But he's had 2 knee surgeries, so...no thank you. Draft the best lineman available!

we haven't done anything dumb with our first rounder yet, anyone think we will?

my problem with best-OL-available is that according to most mocks, there's not really a dynamite candidate to be taken #26 overall. do we trade down and gain a few picks? find our guy and draft him no matter what?

i gotta say, su'a cravens @ #26 is awful tempting, then nab our top available linemen in the 2nd/3rd...

Knowing John & Pete, the pick will likely be traded.

Day before the draft. Rumor is, the team is hot on OT Germain Ifedi. Had a private workout with Cable. Some have him eventually moving to guard. Rumor is they also like C Connor McGovern. Possible 2nd or 3rd round target. We will soon find out.

I wouldn't mind taking C Ryan Kelly despite center being one of the only solid existing positions on our O line. I feel like his tools, IQ, and Nasty would uplevel everyone else on the line and we could shift Patrick Lewis to guard.

Kelly is a popular pick. The Hawks value athletic lineman though. Not sure Kelly fits. Could all be a smokescreen, but they worked out McGovern. He could be a center/guard. Martin also fits that mold. I expect them to take a back like Tyler Ervin in the middle of the draft. Projected to go in the 4th. A defensive back in rounds 5-7. It's basically a given they take a converted dine project or two. Edit: My sources tell me, they intend to trade the pick.
