Danny's .02:

1. Running Russ
One way or the other Wilson is going to be on the run. I think we've seen the pass action positive yard is absolutely crucial to the offense right now.

2. Lacy
I don't care if he's sensitive to fat jokes, he needs to head upfield and gain yardage or we need to scrap rb by committee and cut him. Rawls looks like he's got incurable fragility, and Prosise has not been the player he was when healthy last year, so I'd like to

3. Avril
He's due for a breakout performance unless he's hiding an injury

4. McEvoy
Two brutal brutal drops last week. I like Tanner, but honestly if he's going to get a case of the Kearse's I'd rather see more Darbo

Predictions-
Seattle 13 Titans 21

I know we want to forget game 1 vs the Packers but shouldn't this be game 3?

yeah i had an edit window open too long and finished on a second. My bad.

Unfortunately I think this game will have a similar result to the Packers. Hope i'm wrong and they score points this game, but we are something like 2-12 in the last 14 away games and the offense again has issues. (I'm sure third year in a row getting the offense to look competent isn't Bevel's fault, though :eek1: )

Bevel is indeed part of the problem but managements inability to address the o-line issue certainly doesn't help

I said this on another forum, but we're seeing a pattern here. I don't see things changing (offense/line play) until there's a major shakeup. Either Pete goes or he finally wises up & makes changes to the coaching staff & addresses our weakness. This team will likely win 9 or 10 games again. Maybe host a wildcard game at home (thanks to a crappy division). Although the Rams have looked decent so far. Then lose on the road in the divisional round for a third straight year. Anyone who seriously thinks we're still a Super Bowl contender needs a reality check (With this offense)...Much like the Green Bay game, I think tomorrow will prove me right.

Yeah man, coaches like Pete don't just grow on trees, but paul can hire big dogs, as well.
I want to think always compete means John and Pete just get it that the trash they are throwing out on O-line is not working. I like Pete's D concept on several phases, he was bold enough to ditch Flynn for Russ, they have drafted well as a duo (to oversimplify who is involved), but this one thing going on 3 years is insane considering it was a huge emphasis in his first year and was present in the superbowl win. I do think SF would have done us a favor by taking Cable off our hands, if no other reason, because a new guy would have demanded a bare minimum talent level. Cable thinks he's branded himself as the guy that will literally take DT's and make them offensive linemen after sweezy and even guys like Carp look competent to what he's actually putting out. Fant was a stretch before the LT that shall not be named perfected the double back flip Manu Ginobili method of playing LT.

He's clearly regressed. Bad throwing mechanics.
