Well thinking solely as a soulless PR person/lawyer, it would give you deniability. "No, we saw a better opportunity with a different QB, try and prove that its because of the anthem".

By confirming it was at all related to the anthem, the Seahawks have given the NFL lawyers a LOT of work to do.

Swapping #18 for pick #33 (1st pick of 2nd Round) & pick #64 (Last pick of 2nd Round) is the rumored proposal. We likely would get another later round (5th) as part of the deal. Makes sense from our perspective. Trading out of the 1st & picking up 2 (2's) is right down John & Pete's alley.

Not as exciting as trading up to get Barkley but I'll take it. Haha.
