ESPN - Tampa Bay reserve tight end Jerramy Stevens was suspended without pay for one game Tuesday for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He will miss Sunday's game against Atlanta and was also fined an additional game check.

"When we signed Jerramy this spring, we knew there was a possibility that he could face some type of disciplinary action from the NFL for his prior actions," Bucs general manager Bruce Allen said in a statement released by the team.

LOL, this dude is ridiculous. I wonder why the Bucs signed him? Reminds me Koren Robinson...

Glad he's not up here anymore but he obviously has some sort of problem and needs help more than anything.

This was for the bust last September, I believe, not something new. Am I wrong?

Probably, but I think he's in an entirely different boat than someone like Koren Robinson. For all Koren's problems, he didn't seem like a total jerk.

Shot his mouth off before the Super Bowl.

Got in trouble for an on-field incident where he got kneed in the gorin b/c he'd instigated it.

Was arrested and charged with an assault for an incident where he was witnessed stomping on a man's face.

Has been busted for marijuana possession.

Was arrested, but not charged, on investigation of sexual assault.

Drove like a madman and crashed into a nursing home, and then had the common decency to leave the scene.

Has had two DUIs.

Faced numerous problems with his neighbors who complained of "vomit on their doors, used condoms on the back porch, loud parties at all hours of the night, and various noise complaints" b/c of Stevens.

And let's not forget all his brain farts on the field.

Koren Robinson was a drunk. Jerramy Stevens is just an a**hole. I don't think there's any sort of "help" he can get for that...

Well all of that, to me anyway, spells out someone that has serious emotional issues. He needs to be in some sort of program where he can talk to someone to help him understand why he continues to childishly act out. I have no idea where to go from here, but I think a shrink would have help him out.

I think you summed it up extremely well. I've seen a few Packers games on TV and was thinking I wouldn't mind having Robinson back.

Stevens, along with Tank Johnson, makes me embarrassed to be a UW fan. (Well, okay, the UW football team makes me embarrassed to be a UW fan the last few years, but Stevens and Johnson just add to the shame.)
