Rich Hill-NL CY Young?
Has thrown like 50 pitches in 5 innings and has a perfect game through 5.
He is looking really good.
(Hopefully I don't jinx him)

Paul Byrd, yea crazy huh?, had a no hitter going and the Indians/M's game was called. It makes me mad cause the Indians only needed one strike for an official game. This would never happen if the opponent was beating Cleveland. Yes that is Cleveland luck. Only Boston fans would understand. Well before two years ago that is, they've picked up some bandwagonners since then. Good luck to Hill though, love seeing stuff like this since our game was spoiled.

I heard through the grapevine that he's really good.
But what the hell? 78 pitches through 7 innings? This kid could have had a complete game easily, Lou. God damn.
Flyballs are little scary, though. 13 flyballs to just 2 groundballs. That could lead to some homer problems in Wrigley.

i'd be worried about his flyball tendencies at wrigley. he tends to leave his FB up which could be a problem once the weather heats up.
nice pick up in the 19th round though. he should surpass 200Ks easily if he stays healthy.
on a kinda related note, how do yall project ted lilly will do in the NL? i think he could be a sleeper this yr. do yall think hill will surpass lilly as the cubs #2 this yr?

I could see Lilly having a good year. Having to face the AL with the DH is harder. Then toss in that he had to face the Yankees and the Red Sox a few times can do damage to anyones ERA.
AS for Hill passing Lilly, Hill is finally coming into his own but I would wait to see Hill establish himself for a full season before sliding himself up in the rotation.
