NASHVILLE, TN, Dec. 4, 2007- As the Titans prepare for their stretch regular season run, they are doing so with inspiration from the Titan Tuesdays Program. Since it's move to Nashville, the Titans have made Tuesdays a day of giving back to the community that so faithfully supports them on Sundays. And though it's the players' only day off a week in the midst of a rigorous 16 game schedule, the Titans understand tradition and the importance and significance of visiting with the community.
"I love visting the hospitals," said fourth-year TE Ben Troupe. "When I see the smiles on the faces of the patients, it lets me know instantly how much us being here means to them."
Titan Tuesdays consist of visits to hospitals and schools throughout Middle Tennessee. At the hospital visits, players go from room to room conversing and signing autographs for surprised yet instantly appreciative patients while at the school visits, players engage in a Q&A with Titans Manager of Community Relations Tresa Halbrooks which touch on the experiences that got them ready for the NFL, staying active and making the right decisions.
