Technically, the Titans hold strengths in all the aspects of the game where the Colts have weaknesses. This game looks like it should be a cakewalk, but I don't think it will be. Especially considering how the Colts have played the titans in the past

That's why teams cannot underestimate their opponents. I will retract my previous post and should say that this game will be decided by how the Titans will defend against the passing game to keep the Indy WRs' from becoming main factors in Monday's game. The Colts despite their struggles are a division rival and are not to be underestimated at any time.

I was just joking around to try and get something started on this board, and I saw a traitor in the midst of things.... Is it even legal to like the Oilers/Titans and the Steelers?

I hope the Titans kick the Colts butt's in this one. I didn't before the weekend started, but after watching my Steelers give a game away this weekend, a colts loss will help the Steelers out more IMO.

As a Colts fan I think this game will be a close one. I see it being a a high scoring game with each team scoring between 25-30 points. The key for a Titans victory is to keep the ball on the ground and eat up the game clock. This shouldn't be to difficult considering our run-d is terrible and the Titans running game is very good. But if the Colts can keep the Titans offense off the field I think you will have a difficult time defending against our passing game. Either way its gonna be a great game to watch and I am pumped! GO HORSE!

LOL, both Oiler and Steelers fans would have a problem with that especially those who remember the late 70's. I have to say the Steelers are one team I always look forward to playing I have great respect for the way they play the game, plus it is an old AFC Central battle.
God how I miss the old AFC central.

As for your last coment are you sure you don't mean that a colts win helps you guys out more. Pitsburgh has that division on lock but at 5-2 they would want to stay within range of the titans at 6-1 if they lost.

I think the key to this match up will be Reggie Wayne vs. Cortland Finnegan (or Vincent Fuller, if Wayne lines up in the slot as he tends to) and Dallas Clark vs. Keith Bulluck/David Thornton.

If the Titans can keep those guys covered, and pester them enough, I think the Titans will come away with this one easily.

i actually can't wait for the matchup to take place later on in the season, but at the same time, I'm caught in the middle since these two are my fav teams I follow the most.

BTW, for those who were born in the 70s' era, can you explain more on the rivalry Oilers/Titans and Steelers?

score update

Titans 6
Colts 7

With 11 plus In the second quarter.

Manning threw an INT to Vincent Fuller, but Cortland Finnegan caught a 15 yd penalty and the Titans go back to the 45yd line.

From RGM

Tennessee 31, Indianapolis 21
Team Trench Counter: Titans +3.1, Colts -3.1

The Tennessee Titans (7-0) remained unbeaten on Monday night after an impressive win over the rival Indianapolis Colts (3-4). Kerry Collins was more than good enough, going 24-for-37 with 193 yards, while Chris Johnson and LenDale White took care of business on the ground. Johnson had 77 yards and a touchdown and White added two scores and thirteen yards in the victory. Tennessee's defense also pestered Peyton Manning, forcing two interceptions.

Manning went 26-for-41 with 223 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss. Dominic Rhodes had 70 yards on seventeen carries, and Chad Simpson added 23 yards on four carries in the absence of Joseph Addai. Dallas Clark broke out, catching seven passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns, but the Colts struggled in key situations and couldn't stop the Titans' attack in the second half. Indianapolis led 14-6 midway through the third, but Tennessee rallied to score 25-straight points en route to victory.

The Titans are 7-0 ppl! It was a tough game at times, but the titans managed to pull a comebackin the second half to come away with the win.
