Have him start and playing him around 5-6 mins each quarter. Last night was another one of those lackluster start at home, we sure could have used Kawhi during the 1st.

John Wall I think will eventually become our third guy. He needs to start soon. I don't think I can stand watching Reggie as a starter much longer.

The game plan for Leonard is weird. Is it really helping him? It certainly isn’t helping the team. I don’t see them changing it though until he’s through the restriction.

What they can change though is starting Wall. It’s night and day between him and Jackson. That alone would give a charge to this teams slow starts. That’s not to say it’s all Jackson’s fault either.

I agree with Wall, also keeps the facilitating duties away from PG. For as good as PG is at everything else he is not a natural facilitator.

It’s going to take time and patience with everything. We can get frustrated but it’s always going to be a process of developing chemistry.

JOB ONE--Don't get hurt. 80 games left until the playoffs even START. FFS why does it have to be Norman blows or Reggie vs Wall? The Finals start in May, SEVEN MONTHS from now.Image

82 games, people. Let’s let a few more go by before making any judgments.

Reggie vs. Wall? Reggie has earned the right for a little leeway here. See if he snaps back in the next few games. (But, yeah, play Wall plenty. Dude looks good out there.)

And I agree about the confusion with Kawhi’s PT. I can’t help but wonder if the minutes restriction/buildup is coming from his camp. But it relates to what I’m actually worried about—and don’t see a way of avoiding.

Right now, we have too many players. It’s one of those things where you kind of want to say “That’s not really a problem!” Except it is. If we have some injuries, our super heavy depth will be a bonus…but until then, we’re constantly trying to rotate players and lineups, and play guys 20-25 mpg. How are you supposed to develop lineups and consistency and cohesive units with that? And having your star player coming off the bench does *not* help. Batum, Covington, and Mann are—at a minimum—6th/7th man level players. Nobody would be surprised if, on another team, those guys played a lot of minutes. They’re averaging 40 minutes combined this year—and that’s with Wall and Kawhi already missing games. If they get more minutes, the minutes come from others. How is subbing guys in and out constantly a plus?

Maybe I'm wrong and it’ll work out and everyone will be happy. Or maybe (this is what I’m hoping) we’re showcasing everyone so we can figure out what package to move out for a high level 4.
