A very nice win after a string of losses. I know it's only Houston but so far we've also been only Clippers. So I'll enjoy the win.
It's a long season and I cannot wait for Powell and Covington to get in rhythm. And when Wall gets more consistent playing time this team will be a treat to watch.

I am glad Clippers got the win, just barely.

I saw a young, scrappy and hungry Rockets team.
I liked Martin Jr - would Not mind having him on the Clippers.

Reggie Jackson - Atrocious 2-11FG and 0-6 3pt. Can you just stop shooting at some point ?

Norman Powell - Don’t know what the issue could be. The team shot 25% from three as a whole. It is just bad but ok maybe it’s early and they just need to find their groove.

But Norm is missing wide open threes.

On to the next game !

It's great to see PG bounce back, not just for the win but also for his own self-confidence.

That being said, it's still not a good sign that beating a team as awful as the Rockets was this much of a struggle, or that two of our three wins are entirely due to superhuman individual performances from PG rather than balanced team play.

Well, I'll take the baby steps.

PG having a great game, excellent. Now he doesn't need that every game, but let's avoid the tragic games. What we need now is for other guys to "normalize".

Reggie: 25.8% 3PT
Powell: 22.6% 3PT

Those two are taking a combined 8.8 3PT at 23.9% 3PT. They are scoring 6.3 ppg on 8.8 three's. Let's change that to a modest 34% 3PT and that's 9 ppg just from their 3PT shooting going to okay and nothing else.

I was babysitting out of town and couldn’t watch until this morning. Even knowing the outcome I was on the edge of my seat.

I’ll echo what others have all ready said. Nice to see this response from PG and hope it carries over.

If we could get one (preferably both) of Powell or Jackson to snap out of it we’d be looking so much better.

Zu … lend some of that to your teammates.

Hero ball got us the win last night. Guys are shooting poorly to start the season, but the lack of ball movement was pretty difficult to watch. I am hoping John Wall can start ramping up his mins. I can't stomach watching PG and Reggie running point guards.

Reggie was minus-8 in 27 minutes in the Pelicans loss. Wall was a team-worst minus-19 in 21. There's more going on here than "eye tests." The point guards are being asked to do too much: Reggie should be a 4th option and Wall a 3rd but nobody else is stepping up-- except Powell who's shooting 38%/23% and not getting to the line much either.

There's no ball movement because there's no movement without the ball and too many guys who can't create their own shot.

Glad we got the win as PG willed us to victory. Got to get some good guard play going starting now. Love Reggie but he shouldn't be our starting guard in the year 2022. What's up with Wall? Is Preston even going to get a look ever? I'm seeing all the other teams getting their youngsters involved someway or another but we still have to watch bad guard play year in and year out. Its frustrating.

I'm not throwing in the towel on Powell yet, but Reggie is done, IMO. It's not even just the bricks, it's also the selfishness and how much of a liability he is on defense. He needs to be out of the rotation.

Reggie is listed as 6'2'', 208lbs with a 7-foot wingspan. He seems to have the size - so what is the problem with him?

in the 1st quarter, the Clippers gained a 10-point lead - they were running plays and getting easier shots off assists but then in the 2nd-4th quarters it goes back to ugly or complicated basketball.

On the bright side of things - Turnovers are going down and defense is staying steady for the most part. Just need to get the offense clicking and they should start to look like a playoff team.

I'm not attached to Reggie, so no tears would be shed on my part. I don't need him at 43% 3PT like 20-21, but minimum 36%. He started off the game with those two floater makes, maybe it got him too excited as those were his only two makes.

Really he's not even shooting that much and shouldn't even be shooting much less as a starting support scorer. He's taking 10.3 FGA in 28 mpg, last night he took 11 FGA in 30 minutes, that's a bare minimum of shots for a player in his role. 13 FGA/36 is not that much, but when you brick as much as he has, well...it starts to feel like more.

it's all about combinations

Wall is even worse with Powell than Reggie is

Did we make the playoffs? How'd our MVP do in the most pivotal game of the season against Minnesota?
