Nobody does. Kawhi is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
But I think he's feeling the heat. Now Kawhi has to at least make a show of doing everything he can to get back as soon as he can. Otherwise he's stealing Ballmer's money. Starting with his holdup of Popovich and the Spurs and then becoming the poster boy for the loathsome "load management," he's used up all benefit of the doubt.
The one thing we DON'T hear is the medical opinion Kawhi would be risking re-injury by rushing his return. I always trust what I DON'T hear more than what I do hear.
