Always had a built in excuse with Kawhi out but now were losing games with PG & Kawhi both playing and putting up big numbers. And just think, we should've lost the Detroit game too.. not to mention teams are putting up 120-130 points on us these last few games Passes were given in October, November, and December but now now's the time to cut the crap and figure this thing out fast.

I still believe the overall talent level on this team is good, but roster construction is not. I think the FO has done a commendable job of squeezing water out of rocks (by way of comparison look at the Lakers who also swung for the fences with 2 superstars, one via free agency and one via trade.) But while we've maximized a lot of our moves (great value positive trades such as Zu, and last year Norm/RoCo), it's a lot harder to find that big trade that will significantly swing our prospects.

I agree with you that our record should be better than it is. At the same time, right now we're not a title contender even if Lue was coaching this year like a Grandmaster- our set of pieces are not good enough either. I think we need to do a lot of things better, AND we need to find some sort of big trade by the deadline to upgrade this year, AND we're going to need to be lucky in terms of health where both Kawhi and PG are 100% heading into the playoffs.

Next 4: home Miami, road Denver, road TWolves, home Atlanta .. 4-0 ideal, but 3-1 expected with the loss to Denver. 2-2 would be underwhelming, but "take it" result, with wins to Hawks and Heat (both home games). Denver/Minny is a back to back.

Well this has not gone well.. the worst below least, has occurred... maybe 1-3, but even could be 0-4. So its a very bad stretch.

Hawks have decent talent and are athletic with some streaky skilled shooters.

I think the team needs RoCo in general, to be back in the rotation like last year, and more Mann offensive plays.

I'd even say - try starting Mann or Wall or Kennard, in place of Reggie, and see how it goes for a week. Reggie and Wall/Mann come off the bench and finish games as needed, which would still occur.

Heck, start RoCo in place of Morris, once get kind of gets back a bit.

Some main line-ups I'd like to see...

Mann
George
Kawhi
RoCo
Zubac

Wall
George
Kawhi
RoCo
Zubac

Mann
Kawhi
Kennard
George
Zubac

Batum not being 100% has also effected the team's ability. And with Mann, like that shot against Detroit.. is what he can do and the kind of energy and confidence he can bring to compliment Kawhi, George, and Morris. His size and general agility is a plus.

Hopefully Lue sticks with Mann returning as a starter, and Mann continues to seize the opportunity as he did last nite, for a good showing. Reggie I think has been maxed out as a starter, and should really be a selective finisher/starter. But all indications are this is something that should help the team.
