Not really? All time, they are 104-64 against us. Before 2012, it was a lot worse than that. It was 95-28 before our dominance since the CP3 trade. The fact that we needed a 36-9 dominance to “soften” it to 104-64 all time just speaks volume of how much we were owned by the Lakers especially in the Shaq era. So take every win against them like it was a Christmas present.

i mean, that's cool, bro - personally that's so long ago that's done and dusted for me, and i'd prefer not to compare different eras/team cores (let alone what occurred under sterling's ownership).

so i can clarify in case there's something else being inferred - i just don't think the lakers are anything except a trashcan organization: such that i personally don't derive any extra reward when we beat them. but for the sake of others, if they do, i hope we keep putting them in the dumpster, since they're not very good and that's where they belong.

I'm East Coast hardcore. Half the fun is having and hating rivals--I'll tune in the Laker game or the Cowboys or the Mets to cheer for whoever is playing them.

Any year we finish ahead of them is a good year.

I guess I consider Clipper Laker games to be pretty good litmus tests as far as regular season goes. It's a rivalry game so both teams are emotionally more invested, and the Lakers are a decent team right now when healthy. We should beat them each time, but it's rarely going to be a gimme night where they don't care. Both teams care.

OTOH better teams sometimes just have an off night and make us look better than we are, and we have off nights against inferior teams that can make us look worse than we are.
