Good game from Luke. The Memphis coach might be a shooting guard whisper and got Luke to believe again. With us he wouldn't shoot unless he was completely wide open by a long mile. It was against the personal game friendly Rockets too so we'll have to see how he looks when we play them for two straight games in their place next week. Props to him tho

It was a 37-point blowout, no pressure. Overall, Kennard has 10.1 FGA per 36 with Memphis. With the Clips it was 10.5. Last year it was 12.0.

Now, he is hitting an amazing 54.7% from deep with the Grizz on 1.3 more attempts per game, but strangely enough is only 30% on non-pointers, 6-for-20 in 17 games. With such a small sample, it's within statistical margins to say he's pretty much the same guy there as he was here. You is what you is.

You’re a goddamn fool about everything. Do you hate every single move that the front office makes. Luke Kennard is nothing but a catch-and-shoot especialist and even with that role, he is pretty gun-shy. He has a once-in-a-blue-moon 30-point game and you’re out here flexing a useless “prediction.” Gordon is not “washed-up.” He is an upgrade over Kennard.

Let me guess, you miss Vinny del Negro. Hell, you miss the DTS ownership.

And don't forget Doc Rivers. Same shtt over and over and over. Every day, every thread.

Gordon has been useful. I like Kennard but if he's this timid in the regular season, I'm afraid of what happens come the playoffs.

Jackson has completely fallen off the Nuggets rotation, it took them a couple weeks to realize it but damn, this may be it for Reggie. Malone isn’t the greatest coach out there but he saw the urgency to revert back to Braun quickly and it looks like it’s paying off.

he's killing it at the moment but in Kennard's last 4 games as a Clipper he shot 2-17 for 5 points 6 rebs 2 assists in 48 total minutes

at $14M/year they simply gave up on him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Luke constantly getting hurt didn't help his case one bit. Still a small sample size, but can't help wondering if it was just bad luck or switching the training staff actually made a difference.

Tonight: 28 minutes, 16-5-5 on very efficient shooting, 5 point win, while also resting Ja, can't ask for much more. We better try and attack him as much as possible, maybe that will mess up his rhythm on the other end.

Yes, we must attack him. Mann vs Kennard?

I have no real opinion on the whole thing, but Luke can't play the point or guard athletic SFs. Kawhi and PG eat up the major minutes at 2-3, and the org seems to just love Mann, who starts making the real $$ next year.

Plus we landed EJ, who's more well-rounded and presently shooting 48%/45% himself, as well as Bones for the future, who's only 22 and could become a genuine NBA point guard by the time our herd of 32-year-olds heads out to pasture. [Luke is 26.]

I thought dumping Luke was a bit of a head-scratcher, but stumbling over the stat lines in those last 4 games [2-for-17!] might have been the clincher for the FO. We are a bit of a quiet team anyway and he's been a timid player, so bringing on Westbrook, EJ and Bones cooked up the aggression factor quite a bit. Dumping him checked a lot of boxes.

A whopping four-game sample size under a coach who thinks it's still 1993 and doesn't run an offense isn't really changing my mind.

It's nice to see EJ show that he has something left in the tank after all, but Luke himself was never the problem.

It was beyond obvious to me that they were gonna trade Luke, he just didn’t perform to expectations, just wish it had been to the East instead.

What is the explanation for this performance on the Grizzlies ?

Coaching ?

Health ?

Roster ?

Playing time ?

He's just actually shooting, and, ironically enough, Memphis fans still agree he's passing up too many good looks

Our offense is too stagnant to take full advantage of Luke's elite shooting. Can you imagine Luke on a team like the Warriors? He'll be shooting 50% from 3s every season.

Memphis has an actual system in place that gives players confidence. That's why they hardly miss a beat in the regular season when Ja's out - all the other players know their role and what they need to do.

Lue has no system. He just expects raw talent to carry him to wins.

Luke appears to benefit from a more structured team.
