RoCo and Batum were worse--0-3, 0 points, 1 reb, 2 assists, 4 fouls and minus-11 in 14 minutes. Obviously the I-know-better-than-Ty crowd has no better answer either.
???
At the HALF, Morris was 1-7 from the field and 1-5 from three while being a -14. Morris put up 13 shots in the game and 8 3s. He hasn't put up that many shots since before the All-Star break and he has only shot 8 or more 3s twice this calendar year.
Ty's comments here after game 4 are so laughable because they only apply to one player: https://youtu.be/eKjxix8cRXs?t=287
Have to give you credit for trying to tie RoCo and Batum together. RoCo helped speed things up and the 2 assists he had led to buckets that cut the lead down to 2 both times. When he first came in in the 3rd, he perfectly positioned himself between the passer and his responsibility. He intercepted a pass and should have had a dunk to tie the game, but Mann was whistled for a foul.
We had opportunities to win both home game as well as Game 2 in Phoenix. In those home games, it was difficult when playing 5 on 8 most of the game.
I think Ty is done after this season. he has been in a power struggle with the front office regarding Morris. He decided that with Kawhi out he was going down his way and flipped off the front office (https://youtu.be/eKjxix8cRXs?t=179). He thought the team needs to play faster, but thought starting Morris was a good thing. Starting Morris doesn't speed things up. With all the minutes they played and the short turnaround to the matinees, we should have been running the Suns up and down the court.
