Instead of Harden I say we get a solid center or at least a center that can space the Floor, would be perfect with Westbrook.

A stretch-4. That's why Morris and Batum have gotten the minutes there, and why we brought Serge Ibaka in, although just a year too late.

RoCo just isn't a stetch-4. Actually Mann is more of one, which is why HE won the starting job.

Ibaka would've been perfect for Russ. It was always a shame he got hurt when he did in 2021 he was never the same

Huge though we are starting the season with good habits!

If you're in LA, BallmerVision is only $99.

In San Diego got rid of Cox because it was a ripoff and their internet sucked. Got sling and T-mobile now. Split my bill in half and way better

Lue needs to do better to stagger, don't really want to see a full second until again. Liked how Bones seemed to focus on also showing his facilitation skills as well

I'm just glad the players managed to get decent +\- numbers despite missing that crucial unstatable contribution from Marcus Morris Sr.

what are you talking about, bro

Morris had a plus minus of zero and team is 1-0 with his zero minute contribution

pretty much the best stat you could ask for

Will be interesting to see if the team can maintain this level of energy and ball movement. TBH the roster has barely changed and if it was truly just benching Mook for anyone else and it leading to this type of play. Why was Lue so blind to it, for most of last year.

Watching the team play with a sense of urgency and passion was so refreshing.. almost shocking even. Russ went nuts, PG & Kawhi were great, Zu was stellar and I'll say this--he's going to play and look much better with a power forward who actually defends and rebounds like RoCo and Mann. Bones is a big part of our future. I also see Kobe Brown moving ahead of KJ Martin in the rotation real soon. Mann comes back along with Josh Primo on the horizon, Harden can stay in Philly. Brandon Boston picked the wrong time to get injured. Here's to good healthy

and Batum played only 9 minutes

keep an eye on Powell, who was the real +/- drag last year
Bones [17 points] may already have moved ahead of him

It was also their mindset, they were still in that regular season doesn't matter mode and it showed.

I hate to be that guy because it was really great to watch the team again, and everyone played well for the most part. My only issue is that they put the ball in Kawhi's hands too much. I know he's your best player but Lue acts like he is Lebron (in terms of being a facilitator). If Russ is out there, to have him play off ball a lot doesn't make any sense. I thought there were times in the third that Russ didn't get the ball enough. He's looking to distribute on this team, and still has the quickness and explosiveness to draw two or create for others. Kawhi was great spotting up and hitting open shots. He's great at the elbow as well. I just don't like when he runs the offense so much, bringing the ball up the court and playing in the pick and roll. I've seen this happen a lot last year in close games as well. I know it was a high turnover game and its the first game of the season. But Russ can really be an all-star level player and fits well on this team if you let him have the keys fully.

Over his career, Westbrook averaged 8.4 assists and 4.1 turnovers. In 21 games with the Clips last year he was 7.6/3.4. You'd really like to see your point guard more like 3:1.

Last night, Westbrook had 13 assists and 3 turnovers. That'll win.
