I expected myself to really like Dunn, and so far, I do

he is such an upgrade over Westbrook. I appreciated Westbrook's hustle, but Dunn hustles in a controlled manner and knows his role. Westbrook struggles as a role player because he was a superstar earlier in his career.

Also because he can't shoot and has no off ball game, and as a star he was very turnover.prone, which you generally don't want from role players. We've seen other stars transition very well to being role players, but your skillset also matters for sure.

Only 3 games, but I'm liking what I'm seeking so far. Already pointed out by a few already, but DJJ and Dunn are bringing some much needed defense and athleticism to the team. Norm filling in nicely on the offensive end, and Big Zu! Oh me oh my, Harden uploading the new Zu patch and now Zu's bringing back that classic 20pts/10reb big man game we haven't seen since Brand/Kaman!

KPJ needs some more games before I can form an opinion of him. He's shooting badly but seems pretty active on the defensive end. If he doesn't figure things out, they should really let Miller get some run.

The rest of the guys are doing what we expect of them.

Hopefully the team continues the moment against the Blazers.

It's crazy that we had Dunn on our G-League team and never gave him a 10-day look see when we needed depth due to injury, etc. Well he's back where he belongs anyhow...

Need to start giving Jordan Miller a shot if T-Mann keeps having these non-productive games.

Big-time win by this team.. impressive!

Luv the energy on both ends, and overall cohesion early.

Maybe let Mann take a game or two on the bench (meaning not play), reset, and give Jordan Miller a chance.. not quite yet, but if his lacking overall play continues 1-2 more games.

I do still think this team (healthy) will be better than most in the league circles thin; but certainly not in the bottom of the conference picture, winning in the 30s for win total. I just don't think so...

Zu has been playing all summer and is in midseason form. And he & Beard just can't keep playing 38 minutes. Can't do this for 82 games, let alone until Christmas.

People have always accused me of being a Mann hater but I've been more a skeptic: He is what he is--a 2nd round pick made good. A marginal starter and an OK rotation piece, but he's a tweener who can't play the 1, doesn't shoot often enough for a shooting guard, and is smallish for a small forward.

But this start is really awful. Ty has yanked him for Kris Dunn in the mid-3rd quarter and we won both games. I just did the numbers and not only is Mann not scoring, Mr Plus/Minus is the WORST on the team...by FAR.

Minus-12.9 when the next worst is DJJ at -3.5? Plus/minus is a crude tool but when you're that much the worst on your team in fewer minutes, the problem is probably YOU.

He's been bad, but like you said he is what he is. I'm sure he'll revert back to his mean.

On the whole, this team (so far) has made us forget about Kawhi's knees which is a pretty great accomplishment. And we're half a game ahead of Houston in the 2025 draft pick sweepstakes. 8-)

This team with 50 games of Kawhi also looks a lot better as well (of course contingent on Beard's health.) Kawhi on the floor would also mean less usage for Beard and more just point guarding.

I've been a big Mann supporter over the years, but right now he's been flat out bad. 2 points combined in the last two games as the starting two guard is awful and can't continue. He's not even rebounding. I don't even want to do the annual "he's off to a slow start" thing because he only got away with that because PG & Kawhi were in the floor. A slow start is not going to work with this team as it increases Harden's work load on offense and will tire him out by December. Dunn is already starting to gobble up his minutes so we'll see how that goes moving forward.
