Simply what I've said since the beginning, everyone simply trying to do what is best for themselves and that makes sense. In the end I think it was a win-win both ways.

The Clippers were forced to pivot and I think it will benefit the team in the end, though maybe not so much in the record for this season.

The Clippers have never really had an organizational philosophy. Since it's a star-driven league [SUPERstar-driven league], the only philosophy was to take whoever falls into your lap, sign the best supporting talent you can that fits under the salary cap, and put it on the coach to whip it into something resembling a team.

One thing that's coming through at least in these PG postmortems with Ballmer and L-Frank--if you can't D up, you can't play here. Which must be why BBJ was given the gate.

Hey, it's a start. If a kid can at least play NBA-level defense, you can throw him some minutes without him killing you out there.
