Right now, Valanciunas would make a lot of sense. Would think we can give the Wiz a package that won't hurt us in the future. Surprised to hear Myles Turner in trade rumors, but he could be a viable target and fit us defensively.
Turner would be a godsend- he is very solid on both sides of the court

Great post[s]! In order:

Watching the Knicks game and Anunoby...jeez. No wonder those Raptors won a chip. Imagine if we had a 4 like that and Kawhi was the 3.

Even if he were the small ball 5 next to Kawhi it would be sick. Which I imagine he was sometimes in Toronto.
________

I guess a younger Gortat might have helped. But man, he was WRETCHED as a Clipper. His plus/minus was through the floor. Even if you hated Baby Doc [Austin Rivers, who he was traded for], Gortat was finally cut in MID-SEASON and never played another NBA minute.
________

Yah, Valanciunas WOULD make a lot of sense. We have been getting KILLED in the non-Zubac minutes since the FO signed J-Wall instead of Hartenstein. [I didn't know it was either/or.] Provably one of the worst Clipper FO moves of all time, and ironically not a major move. Hart would have signed a 3 yr/$20M contract or something team-friendly like that. After years of 10-days and only making the minimum, he was only looking to get PAID a little.

Getting Valanciunas would be the dream scenario but next to impossible. Lot of teams will be calling about him b4 the deadline, I know our neighbor will for sure. For now I'll be stoked if we can get time lord. Portland gifted us Norman Powell, hopefully they will do it again. 8-)

I am talking about the 2013-2014 Gortat that was given away as salary filler for Emeka Okafor. Gortat averaged 13+pts, 9+Rbs and 1.5 Blks that year. Instead of trying to get Gortat in the Bledsoe deal, we made the huge splash signing of Byron Mullens to be DeAndre's backup. We had to dump him mid-season for a future 2nd rounder we never received.

2014-2015 - Spencer Hawes
2015-2016 - Cole Aldrich

All true. Aldrich was serviceable at a good price*[15/13 per 36 minutes] but Hawes--who signed with us for less than market and everybody thought it was a great move, a stretch 5--was WTF.

*Hawes played for a million a year for us but the T-Wolves signed him away for 2 yr/$15M. He was terrible there--less than 2 points and 2 rebs a game.
