Very Very Sad news. The former Clipper and Buck has died.
If you don't know who Junior Bridgeman was, you are missing out on a person that all professional athletes should study. Junior had a solid career, but was no NBA legend on the court. However, his post playing career is hard to match. He invested his money and built businesses. He became a top business person. At one time, he owned the most Wendy's franchises in the country (along with a bunch of Chili's) before selling them to become a Coca-Cola distributor. He went from NBA journeyman player to a net worth of nearly $4B.
I have been telling people about him for years and will continue to do so. Most professional athletes will never have the careers of MJ, LeBron, Bird, etc.., but they all have the chance to follow Junior's path for post playing days success.
Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman had more storied careers than Junior, but have nothing but the memories of those old paychecks.
Like Latrell Sprewell, Junior had "a family to feed", but he found a long term sustainable way to do it.
RIP Junior.

Re: Junior Bridgeman
Rest in peace to him
Didn't know much about him prior, but sounds like he paved his own way well and for family.

Re: Junior Bridgeman
sad news indeed. I started following the NBA in the 1980s and remember him well. Lived a good life- died relatively young.
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
