This game felt like a glimpse at an alternate timeline with the team we should have been watching the last five years. And Lue wasn't coaching. Really makes you think. :dontknow:

more importantly, the team is healthy and Zubac has really developed into a very solid starting center

I fell asleep during the 3rd quarter. I woke up at 4:00am and checked espn app to see a win.
It was a total team win. It was a surprise to see Terrance Mann leave. I also was sad to see KPJ leave. I felt bad for Bones Hyland leaving too. I bought a bunch of TMann and Bones rookie cards and was hoping they could become valuable some day.

But if Brogdan can be a consistent contributor , then the trade pays off. The one worry I have about this team is that they play poorly on the road most games. But are great at home. Of course it depends on who is out at that time also.

Overall, I am happy to see three point shots going in and team playing engaged basketball.

Mann's done well with the change of scenery, though not as productive as Bogi, who will play fewer minutes now with Powell back but was a godsend with Norman and Dunn missing time.

March stats:

TM: 24 mpg 11.1 ppg, 53%/30%, 3.1 rebs 2.7 asst 0.1 stls
BB: 28 mpg 14.2 ppg 55%/52% 4.8 rebs 3.2 asst, 0.3 stls

That's on the high side of Mann's career numbers, although his 3-pointer has been very streaky the last few years. I think the trade was more to get out from his 3 yr/$47M contract kicking in next year. He's still a useful rotation player, but the Clippers get the same things much cheaper from guys like DJJ, Dunn, and Coffey.

And Mann hasn't broken 20 with ATL, whereas Bogi has had games of 20, 23 and 30 for us--sometimes you need one of your role players to take the bull by the balls and win you one. T-Mann hasn't done that in years.

My goodness what a great win for this team

Luv to see it : )

Bunch of different things to feel good about from this

Kawhi

Zubac

Defense

Bench

The Cavs still don't have a good multi-dimensional offensive threat on the wing with some size.. DeAndre Hunter is a solid two-way player but he's no all-star type to respond at that level and consistency. So Mobley, Garland, Mitchell need to the most, play big.

Great win. As Norm gets back to form, Zu become even more dangerous. I like DJJ playing with Norm, Harden, Kawhi and Zu because he can exploit the holes.

Want to see Zu, Kawhi, Simmons, Dunn and DJJ on the court together when we need to shut down an opponent (e.g offense/defense substitutions down the stretch).

We have Memphis next. They can be challenging, but they haven't beaten a team that currently has a winning record since Feb 2.

We really need a quality road win and this next road trip will be our last opportunity to get one. 3 of the 4 opponents have winning home records. Orlando is better than their record shows. 20 of their losses have come while Franz and/or Paolo were out. Even with those injuries, they still have the #2 defensive rating in the league.

And again.. when Kawhi is right (I know, I know.. ), this man is a top 5 player in the league -- Showed it last year, and has been showing it more and more the last 2 weeks or so.

Amazing stuff

Better video because it includes more than just his scoring last night:

I could only watch the game sporadically because I had a pool league match to play, but it looked like the clippers had to fade some suspect calls- the end of the first half 3 point foul, Powell getting called for a foul on review and bogdan’s technical

All the stuff everyone already said but my favorite thing is ZU!!
What an anchor on defense and offense. Such a luxury. Happy for him and happy for us!

That idiot James Capers was making most of the terrible calls like he had something on the game. Also the ref that T'd up Bogi for "Doing a fist swing in my direction"

He even pissed the Czar off with that weak T.

Harden fits way better with Kawhi, than that Pandemic P guy. Harden provides consistent elite playmaking
