They sit Amir for the game. Interesting. He is the 10th men now. Pending free agency this summer. I doubt they offer him more than Dunn(3/16), so I think he could find some more partial MLE money(3/21) from other teams.

How crazy would it be for the Lakers and Clippers to meet in the playoffs in the 1st round?

From decades together in Staples/Crypto with no playoff meetings to a playoff match-up in the 1st year of Intuit.

Would get a lot of attention, but I don't like the match up- Luka always seems to play well against the Clippers and LeBron would be inspired. They also have solid defenders on the perimeter and wing besides Reaves.

If they can avoid the play in, I'd prefer Memphis in the first round. I think the match ups are most favorable in that series

If the play offs started today , Clippers would play Denver. If Clippers move up to 5th then they play the Lakers if Lakers stay in the 4th seed.

I'm thinking Jordan Miller, Cam Christie and/or Trentyn Flowers moves into or fights for the Coffey role next season and Coffey gets a new deal elsewhere. There's a team option on Kobe Brown. I believe he's coming back for at least one more break or make season. Patty Mills will be gone as well.

I think we outwork most teams in a 7 game series. We have many more defenders to throw on Luka this time around. Plus, the Lakers aren't going to be able to handle Zu for an entire series.

With Kawhi slashing down the lane for the dunk last night, I think he has gained a lot of confidence back in his body. He is on a mission to prove the naysayers wrong.

How bad would people melt down if the Clips ousted the Lakers in Round 1?

Yeah, I don't like the idea of seeing Luka again in the playoffs ,especially paired with LeBron. I get the excitement tho, and if it comes to that so be it. But as others have mentioned LeBron does seem to take it up a level playing Kawhi. It's interesting because as Kawhi was becoming a star, I thought Kawhi pretty consistently got the better of the matchup. I think Kawhis first 40 point game was against Cleveland. I remember his first game as a Clipper they won against the Lakers. One of his first Christmas day games as a Clipper they won and he played well. But as of late Lebron has gotten the better. Not to say Kawhi hasn't played well but it doesn't seem like he wants the matchup quite as much as he once did. Even though this is probably inaccurate, it feels like ever since that game in the bubble when he and pg got defended by Bron in the final possession, LeBron has kinda outplayed him. Not by crazy proportions or anything but still. Additionally, Luka is a menace against the Clippers. He starts playing defense and stuff. Lol
Truthfully there are no easy series, Minnesota has a super soft schedule and they've seemingly had our number as of late. Okc is okc, Denver is Denver. Steph is Steph. But I'd honestly just want to not play the Lakers or Denver at this point, at least not until the conference finals. And with the way Denver fizzled out against Minnesota last year, I'd almost want to play Denver before they Lakers

Outside of Luka, Reaves and LeBron, that roster is terrible. No one should be afraid of that match up in the playoffs. They don't defend consistently, Luka leads this league in getting blown by since the trade and he's out of shape. They'll be depending on guys like Goodwin to play meaningful minutes in the playoffs with 2 two way guys at back up center with an already questionable center starting.

Luka had much better teams in Dallas when the Clippers faced them. This Laker roster is incredibly thin.

Last year, Luka had Derrick Jones Jr in the starting line-up with him. DJJ had 9 Blocks in the series against us and 8 in the series vs OKC.

DJJ has also played in 9 NBA Finals games. Starting 5. At some point, Lue will realize that DJJ is a proven playoff player while Dunn is not.

With the playoff experience of Bog, DJJ, Simmons and Batum, Lue has a lot of tools to mix and match across a series.
