i'm glad you brought it up mp. i'm in love with michael beasley, he looks amazing. the only/big thing with beasley is he's a power forward and obviously wouldn't have an opportunity behind brand. even if you want to slide him to the three he's just creating even more of a log jam at with big al and corey.

derek rose is the combo guard everybody has been waiting for since shaun arrived and is a damn talented one at that. if we picked first i'd imagine he's the guy we'd draft. if we pick outside of the top five, gordon might be a possibility. if a combo guard isn't available i'd settle for another point guard. backcourt help is our biggest need this summer.

Rose, Gordon, Bayless, & Mayo are the guys that I think could really help. I have some interest in Batum as well but haven't seen more than a few clips on youtube. The first four are a little undersized but when you put them next to Shaun they can switch on defense and be pretty good compliments for what they offer offensively.

Rose is definitely the guy if Shaun is not who we need him to be. The only true pg out of the 4. Sadly if we don't actually win one of the first 2 spots we'll have to look elsewhere. So I'm not really banking on him right now. If we win the lottery then he gets strong consideration.

Gordon can score and would give us that young shooting guard that is able to put up 20 any given night. He'd definitely would at that shooting touch that this team desperately needs. Out of the 4 he lacks in ball-handling skills, has a poor A/T ratio but if Livingston is manning the point then all is well with that duo.

Bayless and Mayo are moreso the combo guards. Mayo has a lot of potential to be the best of the 4 but will have to improve his shot selection and decision making. The right coach could do wonders with him, but we have Dunleavy.

Bayless reminds me of Ellis or Arenas. He's definitely a score first point or a 2 in 1's body. He can shoot, he's athletic, explosive, knows how to get to the line well, excite the crowd and once again if Livy is able to fulfill pg duties for the future, then he's pretty much the perfect compliment.

I don't really like Beasley for us when we already have Elton Brand. Now if we got the first pick then we have to draft him/trade his rights for one of the guards and then some.

If we get a top 2 pick, then without a doubt, Rose should be the one we draft. Getting a pure PG with those type of skills is mandatory because as you can see from yesterday's game, we had 3.8 seconds left to go the length of the court and create a shot and there's no one on this current squad that can do that, aside from maybe Thornton. Rose would immediately fill that void.

My next choice would be Bayless. This guy is spectacular. It doesn't matter that he's a combo guard, he's definitely the type of player we need.

And if all else fails, get Gordon or OJ Mayo. Gordon is a straight up scorer, and you know we need points in the worst way. Regardless of Mayo's supposed attitude problems or what have you, a guy like this should NOT be passed up if he's our best option.

We NEED to get one of those four...AT ALL COSTS. Guard play is so vital in the NBA nowadays. I don't care if there's a big man available with "more potential" when our team is about to draft. A talented big man needs a great guard to truly flourish anyways(ask David West and Carlos Boozer). I'll be praying sooooo hard on draft day...

id have to say either gordon or mayo. those are the reasonable picks the clippers could get and the people i would want if a trade doesnt go through.

i think livingston will do well at pg and next year will be better than ever despite being out the whole year this year. mobley is good at the 2 but hes getting older and isnt scoring as well as he used. mayo and gordon would be great at the 2 and would make our back court amazing with livingston/gordon or mayo.

beasley i dont see us getting even if we do get a top 3 pick which is unlikely. beasley is a pf/sf. he will probably play sf since he wont get ANY min at pf behind brand but then we'd have to move thornton down to sg.

Well..if we can get Gordon/Beasley/Rose...we get them hands down, but I don't think we'll end up with a top 3 pick.

With that said..I don't see Bayless declaring...and Mayo I don't like...so I say we go with the one guy in the entire draft who is the best fit for Dunleavy's offense...CHASE BUDINGER.

If not him, I won't mind getting Nicolas Batum or DJ Augustine although we might be reaching for both

i dont get all of this mayo hate. did you guys watch him on espn last night against arizona? he was doing pretty well and we need a good young sg. his attitude may be a problem but the clippers have some veterans on the team that will probably make him control himself.

the two guys the clippers should try to get are oj mayo and eric gordon. mayo would do well for us because he wont have to move and wont have to get used to a ton of things other than just playing for an nba team. he wont have to get used to the rest of the nba life that much like other players because other players have to move and get settled and get used to living away from where they've been for a while but mayo wont have that problem.

gordon is great but hes short so im not sure how well he'd do in the nba.
