Who: Clippers @ Spurs
Mar 26, 2008 at San Antonio, 8:30 pm
Last Meeting: Jan 6, 2008, L 82-88

Starting Lineup:

Clippers:
Smush Parker
Cuttino Mobley
Corey Maggette
Tim Thomas
Josh Powell

Spurs:
Tony Parker
Michael Finley
Bruce Bowen
Tim Duncan
Fabricio Oberto

Keys To The Game:
-The Clippers had more turnovers (16) than assists (15) in their loss to Dallas. We must protect the ball.
-The Clippers now are 8-34 when trailing after one quarter, 8-32 when trailing at halftime and 4-42 when trailing going into the fourth quarter. We need to get off to a fast start, not an easy task vs the Spurs.
-Protect the boys, Bruce Bowen is on the prowl.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
C- Maluach l Jackson l Hayes
PF- Okongwu l Newell l Salaun
SF- Wiggins l Bryant l McNeeley
SG- Thomas l Wallace l Nembhard
PG- Murray l Collier l Dillingham

With this squad the last thing they need is a run-in with Bowen. The last couple of times these two teams played a player was either going or coming for the Spurs. Parker returned in one while Ginobli went out early and the next meeting was Ginobli's return. This time they're completely healthy and we're even smaller up front. We've been giving up far too many offensive rebounds without Kaman on the floor. It was going to be tough either way but I just hope the guys put up a good fight.

15-6 Spurs with 5:19 left in the first. Clips scored the first 3 off of a Kaman layup and 1. Then the Spurs went on an 8-0 run. Clips scored the next 3 and the Spurs have gone on a 7-0 run with Duncan heading to the line to shoot the free-throw. Hmmm. Clips have to break that vicious cycle. We're 1-9 from the field so far while SA is 7-11. Duncan hits the free-throw. 10 point lead by the Spurs.

Clippers lose 88-97.

We actually had a decent outing tonight, would have expected a little more activity. I had to leave early so I missed most of the game. Clips were actually up 84-79 in the 4th quarter. I thought we had a decent shot at that point but the next time I look it's game over and we lose by 9. It was great to see Kaman back in the mix of things. He didn't get too many boards but we didn't do that bad on the boards either. 16 points in 29 minutes, not bad for his first game back. 21 points and 9 boards for Juice. Nice performance after struggling the last few games.

Looks like we have been losing some of our posters on here. I saw by the updated score that we were up a little in the fourth and actually lost it. Again I wonder when we will get another win????????????????
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

We should win at least 1 of the next 4. We have Utah, Memphis, Dallas & Seattle coming up.

I read that when we had the lead Thornton was pulled but Thomas (scoreless game) was in. :nonono:

On a side note, New York beat Miami in overtime.

Damn you guys, seven posts...I know I haven't been here to hold it down (gotta make that money you know) but SEVEN replies? People. That just ain't right.

Anyway, talk at work was like "the Clippers are up! The Clippers are up on San Antonio in the fourth!" and I was like "wow whoda thunk we'd get our 22nd win against the Spurs..." I thought too soon, cuz it wasn't 20 minutes later I got that text via the Clippers website talking about a loss. What a shame...I'm really sick of losses. You know its a bad season when I'm more excited about Dodger's opening day than the rest of the NBA season... I like baseball and all, but basketball reigns above all in my world, and in this moment in time, I'd rather watch Juan Pierre drop balls than Tim Thomas throw up bricks. :(

I'm sick of losing too JJ, at least some of our upcoming games seem winnable.

Thank you, gl to the Spurs in the playoffs. I hope to see a glimpse of that tandem by the end of this season.

I was able to catch some of the replay. The Clippers had an 11-0 run before Spurs got back into game with a 10-0 run themselves. They stopped the spurs on 3 possessions but the Clips wasted the shot clock twice (one a forced 3 by Parker and followed by a shot clock violation) then a quick shot. The Spurs came back when Ginobli got hot and it was a done deal. Thomas came in last 5 mins to relieve Thornton who played entire 2nd half to that point. Thomas was scoreless for the entire game and IMO Dun should have went with Powell who had 8 points and 6 boards in 10 minutes.

Also, the Clippers Spirit advanced to the Conference finals. They'll face the winner of the Sonics Dance Team and the Rockets Power Dancers.
