What should we do with the 7th pick?
There's a lot of uncertainty heading into the summer for the Clips. After dropping a spot in the draft we have one less opportunity to improve the team. Gordon and Westbrook look to be the current primary choices if we stay at the 7th pick in the draft. Depending on how the workouts go, there's a possibility that some players rise/drop but that probably won't benefit us too much considering who would be good fits for us. Do we try to trade down and pick up another player as well? Do we attempt to trade up? Although, the asking price to trade up may be more than what we're willing to give. A Maggette package with the pick could not be finalized until free-agent signing period begins.
What's everyone's thoughts at the moment?

Right now, I see the Clippers deciding between Westbrook and Gordon still. I would pick Westbrook but I can see why people would choose Gordon.
I think the Clippers would look to trade though. It would be nice if we can resurrect that Mike Miller/Maggette trade, while also swapping picks, but I don't know if we really want to reach for Mayo or Bayless if he's still there when Memphis picks. Trading picks with NJ sounds good if we're looking to pick up Augustin, but I don't see who NJ would take trading up (Joe Alexander?)
So.. Westbrook for me.
... there's also that Kevin Love idea. HmmMMMmmm. When Brand is on the bench, Love and Kaman? Or when Kaman is on the bench, Brand and Love? It's interesting, but I guess an answer at guard is more important.

I went with drafting Gordon. Both guard spots desperately need some help. I like Mobley and feel that he's a warrior and all but he's the only real 2 on the team and is going to be another year older. With Gordon we get a strong athletic 2 guard that can shoot and get to the hoop. We'd still be left with the option of moving Maggette for one of the points who will be on the block (Calderon, Hinrich, Ford, etc.).
I may be in the minority, but if he was available at 4 I'd probably do it top-3 protected.

Clippers trade #7 and 2010 #1 for #4
Sonics draft mayo then trade for Westbrook ...
intersted?

I wouldn't mind drafting Gordon because of our current circumstances. I'm not sold on Westbrook and I think he comes up because of UCLA and the connection that some of our posters have.
I also wouldn't mind us draft Chris Douglas-Roberts. We would trade down to get him and I think he would be able to helps us.
The thing with Gordon is that he inbetween a 1 and a 2. He is tallented but I'm wondering how his game will translate to the NBA.

I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Mayo may end up behind some of the other picks, but in my opinion, he's got a lot more superstar potential that the others. I share your skepticism that he'd be available at the #4.
I'm a little surprised to see Galinari not get more love.

How about this for an idea:
Trade Tim Thomas, Brevin Knight, #7 for Hinrich & #39.
Why for the Clippers: You get proven player on your most glaring hole on the roster, who should bounce back after a subpar year, while you lose bad contract of Tim Thomas and clear playing time for Thornton.
I'm a Bulls fan and I'd do it without thinking.
This way you have:
Hinrich/Livingston
Mobley/Ross/#35
Maggette/Thornton
Brand/#39
Kaman/Fazekas
You have very good starting 5 and Thornton as 6th man backing up both Maggette and Brand. You don't have any depth at all, but that's fixable in free agency.
