I'm not willing to trade the 7th pick but I would definitely do Brand for #2, Blount and Haslem.

As a Heat fan, I would do that deal.

How come you guys dont like 2# Beasley,Shawn Marion,Marcus Banks,52# Or Cook For E.Brand,Tim Thomas,7#?

C-Kaman
PF-Beasley
SF-Marion-Thorton
SG-Mobley
PG-Banks-Livingston

That would be agood deal for both teams.

If those are such great players you are trying to trade for Brand, why don't you guys keep them?

I dont think its a good deal for both teams, these are my two favorite teams to watch 06 was the best in watching both last 2 seasons not so much. But Brand for haslem, blount & the 2 pick sounds like a low offer to me. This guy is all star/franchise player and were not even getting back any all star player?. I wouldn't pull the trigger.

Because we don't want Marion. If we are trading for Beasley then that means we are in rebuilding mode and Marion doesn't fit our plans. The trade would have to be Brand for #2, Blount and Haslem.

If you guys are in rebuilding mode, Then Marion is better? Am i missing something? Blount and Haslem have 2 years left on there contract, While Marion is expiring and gives you guys a SF/PF for the time being.

If we're in rebuilding mode, then Beasley is better... probably because he's almost 10 years younger than Marion. C'mon, If we wanted to get Elton off the books, we'd just let him walk. It's not that complicated. #2, Haslem & Blount for Brand and #35. Then 7, pick return, Tim Thomas and a future 1st for 3 and Jaric. Kaman/Beasley/Thornton/Mayo/Jaric. It's good, but if we make the right moves with Maggette and the pick, we can be a dangerous team. At least our options are open.

I really don't want anything to do with Miami. The only player I like on their roster is Wade....(and Haslem too but not for Brand obviously). I've never been a fan of Marion and don't want him on this team. I think he's incredibly overrated for what he gets paid. To quote one fellow Clipper fan's screen name: Brand or bust. If he walks, then so be it.

And Let's please not bring up the "R" word. Us Clipper fans have been in rebuilding mode since the beginning of time it seems.

I agree.. I'm just too accustomed to seeing EB in a Clippz uniform.. He is my favorite player in the league, and I just can't imagine him being anywhere else.. I couldn't deal with L.A.B.!!!! (Life After Brand)

It's an if, but I think the Clippers could really parlay a Miami deal into something sweet.

#2 and Marion
for
#7 and Brand

then reroute Marion to GSW for Baron Davis. Marion would fit their running style and give them more activity on the boards while I know Baron is the beard of the franchise his departure opens the backcourt up for the expensively resigned Monta Ellis to pair with Steven Jackson.

New lineup
Baron Davis
Cuttino Mobley
Al Thornton
Michael Beasley
Chris Kaman

Work a S&T of Maggette for replacement at SG to supplant Mobley and fill in the bench as best you can (I've got a long shot theory on Michael Redd). That's a lineup that can score in a multitude of ways and will be fun to watch.

It would be sad to lose EB, but he'll have a lot of options to leave town next year if the team isn't clicking anyway. Might as well replenish while possible.

See now, that scenario would relieve some of the sting of losing EB. To get Baron running our backcourt would be a dream come true-- I just don't wanna see EB in anybody else's uniform. If they wind up trading him today (or before the deadline, for that matter), I'll be pissed.
