Is there a place...

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Sat Jul 5, 2008 1:58 pm

for a former Seattle Supersonics fan in Clipper Nation?

I've followed the NBA since the early to mid 90's and even though the Sonics have always been my team, i also liked the Clippers, due to me being someone that roots for the underdog. I still remember those teams with Pooh Richardson, Loy Vaught, Rodney Rodgers, Erick Piatkowski, Brent Barry(one of my all time favourite NBA players) or even Keith Closs.

I also hope that Brand re-sings and the Clippers are able to make a run at the playoffs or even more, during those next couple of years.

Cheers Det

Of course there is a place for a former Sonics fan in the Clippers Nation. Let me just say, and I"m sure everybody feels the same way, I'm disgusted with what transpired in Seattle. In the back of my mind, I fear if Donald Sterling ever sells the team, the same thing that happened to the Supersonics could happen to the Clippers. I'm just being pessimistic, but I place myself in the shoes of fans in Seattle and I can imagine how much losing your team would hurt and it scares me. And I don't even live in LA!

Welcome to the Clippers board, Det. I recognized your user name right away, and usually when that happens, it's either because I recognize you as a Clipper fan or I recognize you as a good poster. Fortunately, I'll be able to recognize you as both now. Welcome to Clipper Nation!

Welcome aboard.
I really like 1840s merchant vessels. Basketball on the other hand, I can take it or leave it...

There's always a place for Seattle fans in Clipper Nation!

It's nice to have you on board with us. Most of us are not going to be homerish and just trash other posters like some mother boards.

So let's hope that Elton re-signs and we'll be able to kick some a$$es during the next couple of years. :D

Welcome to the board, Det. I was also a big Brent Barry and Bo Outlaw fan dating back from the days at the Sports Arena.
