Hello red headed stepchildren,

I feel for you, but how is this the end of the world like many LAC fans
and those of the sports media thinks? I don't. You lost Brand a solid
player, a what 1 time all-star, that was injured more times than he was
healthy. He's still undersized for as excellent as he is. He had one great
year where he led you to the 6th seed in the playoffs and you took PHX
to seven games...woopee! What about Maggette? So you lost two good
assets to the LAC, but you got no where close to what you expected from
your team they underachied.

I really don't blame Brand and I don't blame the Clippers, no ones fault IMO.
The media thinks Brand made promises, NO they are assuming things, assuming
Brand would opt out so they could sign a big FA, assumingly Brand asked for
Baron, and that he'd promise to sign if he did, he didn't promise shi*. Let him
go, you are going to be fine. LAC fans, people are overreacting IMO.

So where are you at? Your in a much better spot than you think. Philly will get
one good year out of Elton, then he'll get injured again. You just signed Baron,
and this is no GP to the Lakers on fumes signing, Baron has a lot left, as long as you
can keep him away from the buffet, your in great shape. You know your roster,
it provides an excellent future IMO.

IMO this Brand snafu sadness will be short lived. Do you realize there is another
even better FA still out there? One of the most underrated, fantastic players in
the L available for the LAC taking which will be better than Brand in the long run guarandamnteed...Josh freaking Smith!

The Lakers are likely going to lose Turiaf and Sasha, because we are in close to
cap hell, two excellent assets, because we are still stuck with terrible Vlade Raid
and Luck Walton and long term 5-6 M wasted contracts. At least you have cap space.
Cheer up stepbrothers. Good luck to the LAC in '08.
