OT: Bernie Mac Dies at age 50

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sat Aug 9, 2008 6:14 pm

CNN

I can't believe it. I read a day or so ago that his condition was improving and he was responding well to treatment and then I wake up to this. :(

He was one of my favorite comedians. I loved the way that his success had grown to new levels over the years after remembering when I first started seeing him pop up in movies or comedy specials. My condolences to his family and friends.

R.I.P. to a true King of Comedy.

I was shocked when I heard the news too, I didn't even know he was ill. I really liked Bernie Mac. Sometimes he admitted to being a Clippers fan, other times he denied it, but once on the Bernie Mac Show, he took his kids to a Clippers game. I think that answers that question.

RIP Mac

I didn't have a clue that he was sick either. I was driving around Baldwin Hills last week and a swore that I saw him, maybe it was just my imagination. Bernie will be missed, this is such shocking news.

I remember that episode. I think at the end of the show he had a couple of players at the end of the show in his monlog. Unless I'm thinking of some other show. I'm really going to miss him. What a major loss to the enterainment world.

It really is a big loss to his peoples, fans, and the comedy world. He already was suffering from a disease that attacked his immune system on the daily basis. With the pneumonia setting in on him, his immune system didn't have the strength to fight back against it. He will be miss by all.

RIP Bernie.

Another big loss in the entertainment world today was soul musician Isaac Hayes as he was pronounced dead at Baptist East Hospital here in Memphis today. Both Hayes and Mac are in an upcoming film with Samuel Jackson called "Soul Men" which is to hit theaters sometime in the fall.

RIP Isaac.

It's crazy how the two of them were back to back. I just out found out they were in a movie together a little earlier today. Be Safe Sam. I have been a fan of Hayes' music and he's had some funny roles in acting. He will definitely be missed as well.

RIP Isaac Hayes. This one surprised me even more, first Bernie then Isaac. I hope we don't lose any more entertainers anytime soon.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

This is what I said. Dude better watch his back.

Isaac Hayes' death definitely makes me feel guilty for laughing at South Park's "Kill Chef" episode. :(

I blame Isaac Hayes' death on Scientology.
