From Dirk and Kaman frontline... this summer! thread, March 4, 2008:

"Dirk put me in contact with a couple of people with the German federation, and they're trying to help me out," Kaman said. "They're trying to dig into my history and find out where I'm from. ... I don't know what the percentages is, the rules and everything. You have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get there. And it kind of stinks, but you have go through it." Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy gave Kaman his blessing to play for the German national team.

44-33 Greece at the end of the half. It's all about defense. Greece is pressing Germany in the backcourt and denying them good position in the interior. Germany's D is lacking and if it wasn't for the 3's they'd be further behind.

Greece is pretty much embarassing the Germans now. I can't wait for the Greece vs. U.S game.

I didn't bother to watch the 4th quarter. Kaman finished with 4 points (1-3 FG, 2-2FT), 2 boards, 1 block and 5 turnovers. Ouch.

Greece VS US comes on Thursday at 5am. I don't know if I'll catch that one live, but I can't miss that game.

Germany falls to Spain 59-72. Kaman contributed 8 points (3-8 FG, 2-2 FT) and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes of play.

Kaman on the Clippers' support of his international play...

"I didn't want to say it the wrong way, like I was upset with them, but I was disappointed they wouldn't support what I wanted to do," Kaman said.

"I love playing for the Clippers. I love playing for Mike Dunleavy. I just think that sometimes their self is what they're thinking about. It's a business. I'm their property, I'm part of their property, but I need a shot at being mine. . . .

"It's over. I'm happy I play for the Clippers. I'm excited by the moves they made this summer and I'm looking forward to next year."

Kaman likes to speak his mind a little too much...but that's what makes him unique I guess. I just wish all of this stuff would stay in-house. Like the supposed Brand steroid accusation by the Clipper brass on his defunct blog. Nothing good can come out of it and it just makes things worse...unless you are trying to buy a ticket out of L.A

I'm happy as long as Kaman finishes his last game unscathed.

We play Germany on Monday?
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
