Exactly what I was thinking. It's obvious that a running offense best fits our personnel, but hey, this is Dunleavy's team. We'll slow it down and throw the ball down into Kaman, Thomas, and Mobley quite a few times...and I'm sure Dunleavy's gonna want Baron posting up those smaller guards. I think it'll be a nice mixture...and I think it'll make us competitive against any defense. :D

Only way we don't run-n-gun most of the time is if Kaman is in the post otherwise this current Clipper team is built to RUN!!

Kaman can still run the floor on occasion...

So are you saying that trading Kaman is the best option, because he won't be able to fit in the RNG? I disagree strongly.

I think you guys are underestimating Millsap. Give the guy 35mins and he'll give you 15pts/10reb/1.5blk. The guy can play and is young and improving. So essentially, his numbers will be close to Kaman's if given the PT. Throw in Okur and we've got a big man who can stretch the defense mightily. Of course we'd have to re-sign Millsap, but our lineup:

B.Davis/JWill/Hart/Taylor
Mobley/Gordon
Thornton/R.Davis/Novak
Millsap/Thomas
Camby/Okur/Skinner/Jordan

I'd have to consider it.

There will be no more German hoops for the Kaveman as Dirk is retiring from the national team and Kaman isn't playing without him.

Kaman wasn't a difference maker anyway, the German Olympic team would have had the same won loss record with or without him.

^ I don't think they would've qualified to go to Beijing without him. Just my 2 cents.

If you think the Germans wouldn't have beaten Angola in Beijing without Kaman, more power to you.

It wasn't worth the heat he has taken for joining another nation's team especially since they didn't have a chance to medal.

They would have more than likely still beaten Angola without Kaman, but there's still a good chance that they wouldn't have even made it to the Olympics because they needed to Qualify first in July.

My main beef was risking an injury or re-aggravating his sore ankle. Chris marches to the beat of his own drum, so he's going to give people reasons scratch their heads in bewilderment. Under the same circumstances, I personally wouldn't have done it. At the same time, I do understand his desire as well as others to do it.

Chris is a numbskull and that's why I want him 86'd at the February trade deadline. Camby/P.Davis/Jordan/Skinner can hold it down in his absence.

You've got to be kidding me...without Kaman this team has zero low post presence.

Kaman is a borderline all-star at the C position and is improving. Okur is a former all-star and is on the decline. He doesn't rebound that well for a center and he likes to shoot jumpers instead of playing close to the basket like a true center should.

If the Clippers are going to trade Kaman to the Jazz, Boozer would have to be involved for it to be taken seriously.

And mjshoefan, Kaman isn't going anywhere just like I said Maggette was a goner long before the season even ended. Remember that?

^ I remember that Maggette prediction from our days on CTalk but Thornton pretty much made me forget Maggette all last season so I was prepared for his offseason departure.

I'm just hoping Kaman is reading this to light a fire in his *** and gear up for 08/09. We need to come out swinging!! No excuses!!!

^ Kaman is a numbskull, it ain't no secret....but he's also a top 5 center in the league. Trading him before his prime would be wack.

Dunleavy needs to give him the right amount of minutes. He had far too many 40 minute games last season. He was an iron man in the beginning of last season, but you could just see an injury coming. Hopefully the depth in the front court this year will allow him (as well as Camby) to get the proper rest and avoid missing too many games.
