Elton Brand (and his best season of his life) was THE ONLY reason LAC made PO. I' really surprised someone can be such an ass to one of the best who ever wore LAC's jersey.

That's such a crock of ****. I've watched Elton Brand put up 20/10 for nine seasons and no playoffs during any of those other than 06. 06 was a success because of Sam Cassell. Without Cassell that team would not have made the playoffs. Not even close.

I don't deny that he's one of the best supporting stars in the league, and that a team with him and BD would be awesome. But let's not kid ourselves here. He's not Kobe or LeBron - even though he costs the same amount of money.

Indeed. It's no coincidence that Brand had the highest PPG of his career (24.7) in '05-'06. It's because of Cassell. There was probably 10 games that Sam single-handedly won for us that year.

Like it or not, it's a Point Guard league nowadays and we have a top 5 PG in Baron. Yes, he will frustrate us at times (much like Cassell), but he will WILL us to victory and come through in the clutch more than anyone we've had in a long time.
