Star of the Game 11/9/08

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sun Nov 9, 2008 11:05 pm

It took awhile, but we finally picked up our first win. As mentioned before the season began, after every win we're going to vote on the player of the game for Clippers. That player may have led us in scoring, anchored us defensively, did the little things not shown in the boxscores, or maybe was a player who willed us to victory down the stretch. Poll will be open for 24 hours.

Who do you have?

I go with Gordon, his shot was on today
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Gordon was great shooting 3's but Baron with 20 points/10 assist...only guys like Chris Paul and Deron Williams can do that and Baron is one of them.

I'm probably going to be in the minority but I picked Camby. It's a beautiful thing that there's not one clear-cut difference maker in the game...it was a true team effort. But think his rebounding and leadership in the front court was what helped Kaman to be such a factor, and it sure cut down on the Mavs second chance opportunities.

It was a toss-up between Baron and Camby for me, but I went with the bearded one. He had some big shots, and set up his teammates for easy scores to get them going. 22 points and 10 assists out of a Clipper point guard is not a common occurrence, but I'm sure we'll see that a lot more often this season than in the past.

Baron showed us once again why he's our franchise player and EJ, AL and Camby made me even more proud to be a Clipper fan.

I gotta give this one to the leader of the LA Clippers, Mr. Boom Dizzle. I start to wonder if maybe Al Thornton is better suited off the bench with his great performance down the stretch today, while Ricky D might be more comfortable in the starting role. Anyway, glad to finally have one of these threads. Boom is the man!

B-Diddy gets the nod from me. Love to see him finally as comfortable as possibly can be on the court.

Baron all the way. Whenever Dallas made a run, he was the one to end it and made big buckets.

I had a strong feeling we were going to win this game because Baron usually owns Dallas.

I love the basketball IQ of Camby. OT but some writers are already starting to criticize the combo of Brand and Miller.

I still can't understand why he would prefer playing with Miller>Davis, Dalembert>Kaman and Iguodala>Thornton.

Brand left because he's sick of the west. He's not good enough to be an all-star here anymore let alone go to the finals. He got scared and bRANd away. Plus he wanted to be closer to his mommy.

 Very well said! Except, his mommy was his little sidekick and was gonna go wherever he told her to anyway. So was his wifey.

So anyways how bout those Baron Davis/Marcus Camby acquisitions huh?!
