You guys will like Z-Bo

Post#1 » by robbysteinz » Fri Nov 21, 2008 10:12 pm

He will put up some shots where you are like WTF?, but unlike many Knicks, this guy has a true desire to WIN. At the end of the day, you will look at the box score and be like what? Z-Bo got 25/15? He's exactly what you guys DON'T have, but NEED. You guys have a very legit team right now, give Z-Bo 2 weeks to get the chemistry going and you guys will start rolling.

Thanks, I look forward to getting some new blood in here and seeing what happens.

Losing TT and Cutino means absolutely nothing to us, since we have rookies that can now get more PT.

They can contribute though, even though you are mainly trading for them for the cap space. ;)

I am to welcome Z-BO to Los Angeles. Mobley was starting to play well though. I am wondering now if Camby or Kaman will be traded. We don't have a great SG!

This acquisition has got to mean that something is in the works with another big man. I'm thinking Kaman for Gerald Wallace, Sheed, or a SF.

Kaman for G-Dub sounds nice.

Is the team really looking to get a SF with Al Thornton playing there.

I will second that. Z-bo will be missed. I personally did not want this trade to go down, but I do understand the dynamics. We (the Knicks) are officially in tank mode after trading Z-Bo and the Clips have become my third team to root for in the NBA.
1. Knicks
2. Suns (because of Shaq against Kobe)
3. LAC- (because of Camby-Zbo)
Let's give LEBRON the BLACK-AND-BLUE-PRINT!

I know Z-Bo is good and good in stats.
But the selfishness is something I worry about.

gerald wallace is not a sg/sf, he doesn't have the range to play sg. he's more of a sf/pf than he is sg/sf. the last time he played sg at all you have to go back to 06/07 before the bobcats traded for jrich. in that season, wallace was outplayed by opposing sg's, while outplaying sf's and pf's. he's simply not a good sg, at least not enough to warrant the price that would be paid to get him.

Well, Z-Bo sure is saying the right things. I'm looking forward to the Zach/Baron combo, should be fun to watch.

man another dude that has flourished in a run and gun system!

first thomas from dantoni's system with the suns
then baron from nelson system with the warriors
and now Z-BO from another dantoni team

all these guys put up great numbers with those squads because of the style of play, but clippers don't play that way. He's the closests to elton brand, so is Camby coming off the bench?

Randolph also put up numbers in Portland, but that was when he was at his worse it terms of being a ball hog. I think coming into a new team early in the season he will defer a little bit, but will eventually get his shots up. He is a legit scorer inside and out, everyone knows this. He at least attempts on defense, but he has no hops. He is a great rebounder, truly understands how to box out opponents. Baron and Randolph will flourish in the pick and roll, not to mention Thornton, Gordon and Kaman on the floor at the same time. Its a risky trade, but I do like it for the Clippers.
