You don't need a great ball handler. But you can't have your best scorer handle it in that situation because Kidd's guarding and playing him close so that he doesn't get off a shot. If it was Mardy handling they'd back off to dare him to shoot -- that way he could run the offense.

How the F does Dunleavy not count on that scenario?

Come to think of it, I believe some of them are in the midst of such a coup right now --- Dunleavy himself said the other day that the players' agents seem very involved in the length of these "injuries."

Since the trade for Zach (I've been following) -- correct me if I'm wrong: Heat, Denver, Bulls, Detroit and Dallas.... 5 in about a month that I know of... :wavefinger:

The season's done for sure. Looks like Dumbleavy's here to stay for the season, which means more of these types of "competitive" losses.

And it may well mean more injuries to the few players left on the floor, and more anger in the two or three who are actually carrying the team.
It may also mean a further decline in the calibre of players --- I mean, when the bench is only three guys and already there is someone behind DeAndre Jordan on the bench, this makes a pretty clear statement.
Of course, there may be a trade in the works that will change everything.
But from the judgment this organization has shown to date, I'm not placing any bets on them making any brilliant moves.

^Only trades you should do is cap-clearing ones! Davis, Kaman, Zach and/or Camby. Get Contracts that don't got past 2010 (or 2011) and get young players and picks.

Such a shame it had to come to this. I was really excited about the possibilities before the season started. I knew injuries would be inevitable, but I never would've expected something like this. Now you don't know if players are really injured, or just faking injuries as a way of throwing in the towel.

On a lighter note, probably my favorite clip of Baron:

Wow. Very glad I didn't see this game tonight. These last minute collapses are hard to swallow. Good thing is the Clippers are playing great with EJ as our go-to guy and the team seems to play better with a more coachable guys like Collins running the show. I still see some potential for this Clippers team if we build around Gordon/Randolph/Kaman. Camby might net us a good player in a trade and I'm really starting to think that this team needs to dump Baron Davis for expirings or something. The team just seems much more competitive when he isn't on the floor.

After seeing us down early and knowing the product that we had on the floor compared to Dallas having practically everybody suit up, I was shocked to see us in the game at the end. I'm glad to see a game go down to the wire with us still playing meaningful minutes as the game comes to a end, but these guys need to be able close it out. If we're down and clawing our way up, and fall short, then it is what it is. We shouldn't be losing games when we're up by 5 and there's less than 2 minutes left though.

On one hand you can't get mad at the team when you look at work we have to work with. On the other hand, if we're going to play hard for 40 some odd minutes, we may as well do whatever we can to pull it out. Hopefully a couple of the guys will be back within the next week.

I was shocked to see that we were up at the end and that we could have won the game. I heard that we were down early and I thought that was it. I was watching the highlights, saw that we were up, and saw that we could have won. I'm proud that the team is playing hard even though we don't have many players available to play. Eric Gordon has been on fire with back to back 30 point games. Hopefully we get someone back against the Spurs and hopefully our hard work translates into a win.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!
