At least we hit a 3 at the end. We played hard in the fourth and were up a little bit, but we just couldn't close the game out, like usual. This is our 11th straight loss, we will get a win at some point.

Oh well. That was some good effort, but another collapse towards the end of the game.

Suns win 109-103. We lost, but the guys played great tonight. At times it was like we were playing 5 on 8. 6 guys in double figures, 3 players with 6 or more assists, plus we shot well for most of the game (missed quite a few 3's as the game came to an end). Thornton played aggressive (especially in the 4th). He played like he was pissed for getting all of the charging calls against him. The charging calls against the team are what cost us this game. Everything else, we did right for the most part. I didn't agree with quite a few calls, but the Clips not getting the benefit of the whistle is nothing new. Jones & Novak had great performances off of the bench. Camby put up 18 & 18. Collins has continued to be inspiring for us (15 points, 7 assists & 3 steals). Gordon had a terrible shooting night, but did convert at the line by hitting 10 of 10. All-in-all the guys showed a lot of heart (speaking of heart where was Jason today?), but unfortunately pick up an 11th straight loss.

It was quite an emotional roller coaster to watch, that game.
Once again, I have no problem with how our guys played.
This time the officiating was highly suspect and almost always seemed to go against us in the questionable calls, and Shaq's size makes me wish there were another league for him to play against people his own size.
The end was really a shame --- when it was tied at 100 I was so excited.
This time, I guess I can't blame the failure to close out on the coach.

The game was much closer than I thought it would be. I saw the opening minutes of the game, where the Suns started the game off with a 10-0 lead, I then left to run some errands. Gordon did not have a good 3pt shooting night. If he had hit a few of those threes, and we started the game off with a little more effort, we could've had this one. Nice to see Thornton with an efficient game, and Jones have a nice passing game, with 10 assists.

When are the easier games? Geez, where are the OKC's, SAC's, MIN's, and CHA's when you need them?

Wouldn't want to play Scac they seem to get the upper hand as of late and Min's is one of those can bte you at any moment team. Another loss and we continue to struggle players have no concern to hurry to come back from injuries anytime soon so things wil continue to go downhill.

During the game, Ralph said that it's likely that Kaman won't be back until after the All-Star break. Yeesh. Forget another loss...dudes are packin' it in already. Its understandable though. I missed parts of this game thanks to the NFL playoffs, but overall I felt we played hard, yet came up short....the story in like 7 out of our 10 (or is it 11?) straight losses. Well...let's get Atlanta.

Anyone else notice the Clipps play harder with Hughes coaching the team?

^ I wouldn't go as far as to say that they played hard at the end strictly because of Dunleavy's absence. I'd say that maybe they caught some motivation after the double-T's, but no, I don't think that a lack of Dunleavvy was the reason for their effort. That said-- I preferred Kim Hughes :D

To answer a question asked earlier in the thread, Ricky will be back against Atlanta on Wednesday. Al Hortford will be out for the Hawks too, so there's two bonuses for the Clips.

Yeah the team played pretty well the one game he coached for us when Dunleavy was out for personal reasons. I prefer him as well, but that's not saying much since most of us would prefer anyone over Dunleavy at this point.

Our team(or whats left of it) dug deep for this game and I'm still proud of their effort on both ends of the floor. Hope we can stop this 11 game losing skid on Wed vs ATL.

Suns fan here. Yeah it seemed like to refs were favoring Suns in that 3rd quarter alot but thats how some games are. I like ur team, from what Ive seen tonight, since I dont watch that many Clipper games, I like ur young rookies and if it wasnt for the injures( missing kaman, davis, and etc) you guys could have atleast 15-16 wins right now, or maybe even more. So good luck to you for the rest of the season and hope the injured players come back soon.

Thanks. That might be a little generous, but if Randolph was healthy (along with Baron) then I'd like our chances to have a few more W's even if Kaman were still out. I was impressed with Shaqovic's free-throw shooting. He's shooting a career best. Has Nash been giving him a few pointers?

Actually, they already said a couple of times that Shaq and Hill looked at old game films when Shaq was in high school and even LSU and he wanted to check his approach to free throw shooting, like the form of the shot to what it was back in high school(college) and lately it seemed like it's been working great. In past two games he is perfect from the line(12-12) and the last pefect freethrow shooting game he had came in 2001( with the Lakers).

Im pretty sure if Randolph was healthy. alongside with David and Kaman( kaman been really good last year, from what ive seen) then Clippers could have atleast 13-16 wins now.
