Eyen likely to join Westphal in Sacramento?

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sun Jun 21, 2009 10:18 am

It appears likely that longtime Clippers assistant coach Jim Eyen will join Paul Westphal's staff in Sacramento.

Westphal was hired earlier this month by the Kings.

The well-liked and highly respected Eyen has been an assistant on Coach Mike Dunleavy's staff not only with the Clippers but when they were with the Lakers and Bucks.

It could be the first of several off-season moves involving the Clippers coaching staff. An evaluation period is ongoing, as a whole host of contracts expire at the end of this month.

Is this a good or bad thing? To be honest I don't really know a whole lot when it comes to our entire coaching staff. I never see much coverage about them other than our head coaches, and well.. seeing as how we've played for the past decade or two I wouldn't think it's all that positive..

I wouldn't mind revamping the entire staff.. They better be evaluating our training staff. >:O
